The Maraquan Grarrl
By Mamasimios

Prehistoric lurking creature
With blood as cold as the ocean depths,
The Maraquan Grarrl forever ensnared
In the grasping nets of prejudice.

One look at this Grarrl's tooth-filled jaws
Makes one assume a bloody thirst;
One pass beneath his gliding shadow
Causes a heart to pound, to nearly burst.

When met by chance within the briny,
A diver, interloper, swims away
With no thought given to the other,
The Maraquan Grarrl who might want to play.

Who knows what drives this swimming sea Grarrl,
What passions fuel his hunter's brain.
He might be playful, quite hospitable,
He just might be friendly -- but then again...

A closer look at those jaws I've noted
The size, the knife-like teeth in rows,
The spiked-tipped fins, the brutish power,
What do you think he does with those?

The thought of this Grarrl, solitary,
If not by choice should stir compassion.
He just may be in search of, in need of, a friend
But I doubt I'll be brave enough to ask him.

Faerie's Ruin
By Pump

The world is silent and the atmosphere is stoic.
It is as if the world has always been this way --
Frozen in joy.
They're eternally busy with tasks
They'll never complete,
Expressions made with half-smiles
And blinking eyes,
Contact not quite made and words
Not fully formed float,
The air is dense.

Hot sun beats down and stone figures
Almost look as if they'd like to sweat,
Perhaps take a break from their post and
Finish the motions they began days ago.
The Faerie Festival is in
Full swing without movement,
They're singing without sound --
The air is heavier than it has ever been.

Hanso: The Jewel in the Eye
By Intel_elect

In the outskirts of Faerieland
'Tis where he starts his tale
A sly but charming Ixi
Shall take what's not for sale.

A spark in his eye, he sights
Artefacts of solid gold.
Will he risk exposure
To take them in his hold?

Allegiance to King Altador
The heart and noble throne
Together, they will free
The faeries cloaked in stone.

If he is to impress,
Then from theft he must prevail
And convince the doubtful nobles
That he will never fail.

To win his way to victory,
A raging battle cry,
Hanso will secure
A jewel in evil's eye.

Ultimate Chocolate Carrot
By Carrotbreath

I've hoarded this item for quite a while
And now that today's arrived I smile;
For my patience I'll soon get my reward,
To taste the item I've hid and stored.
Today would for ages my thoughts haunt,
But no longer will this Golden Carrot taunt.

A long time ago I made an enticing plan,
The ultimate Chocolate Covered Carrot.
I wasn't sure at first how to do it,
Then it came to me and all I'll have to get
A Golden Carrot, chocolate from Chocolate Ball,
And surely my taste buds would fall.

This is going to be the ultimate formation,
And why I write this is a sincere application.
I desire an invitation to the Chocolate Ball,
For one I will trudge through mud and crawl.

Oh Hanso!
By Handuran

Oh Hanso, what have you done?
Oh Hanso, we need answers right now,
Did you turn these poor defenceless faeries to stone?
How could you ever stoop so low?
We have a right to know why you're here,
Tell us now if you've got nothing to fear!

Oh Hanso, what have you done?
Oh Hanso, we need to be told soon,
Did you see anyone else or were you all alone?
We're waiting for answers, and it's almost noon!
We have a right to know what has gone wrong,
Tell us now before we burst into song!

Oh Hanso, what have you done?
Oh Hanso, we need evidence today,
Did somebody send you here or did you just come?
You can't have everything go your own way!
We have a right to know what your intentions are,
Tell us now if you dare!

Oh Hanso, what have you done?
Were you the one behind the faeries' demise?
For if you are, then it's you whom we despise!
Tell us now and we will let you go,
For we as a Neopian nation have a right to know!
