Brian's Tale
An Ode to Gormball

Brian the Scorchio is what I'm called 
And Gormball is my game.
I always play the best I can, 
Yet one trophy can I claim.

"Third place," you say, "does count a win!"
I kindly disagree.
A champion is but number one
Not less, as two or three.

Third place was mine thrice times before,
Yet still I sorely sobbed.
A champion is what I should have been
Two times but I was robbed.

Year two I was disqualified!
They said my eyebrows twitched.
And said I cheated everyone...
But my nose just merely itched!

I could not take my hands away,
The ball I had to catch.
I could not scratch my itchy nose
For I would lose the match.

Again I should have surely won,
Year thirteen I was the champ!
"The ball was rigged" was the call  
Came from the judge's camp.

"It was not rigged" I tried to cry,
"My gentile hands need such
A deflated, gripping gormball
Requires a special touch!"

Alas, my dear Neopians,
My cries still went unheard.
This year I hope to win it all
Not less, like lowly third.
