Korbats Lab

Deep in the Haunted Woods in a thicket of trees
Appears a run-down complex occupied by Korbats.
Their screeches echo through the old laboratory,
Where they safeguard Sloth’s mutant potion vats.

This is the premise of the Korbats’ deadly game:
Keep the ball afloat, and you shall remain alive.
Knock down all the boxes that appear the same
And roll with the punches, power-ups and surprises.

Some boxes require multiple hits or a powerball,
While Korbats block others with powerful gusts.
Avoid their tricks or you shall meet your downfall—
The clock strikes a tune for every ball you miss.

It’s a losing game— though one that can go all night.
Your focus can waver in Korbats Lab, one screech
Can cause you to miss a maneuver out of fright.
Do your best in this game or you’ll end up freaked.

The Korbat Defender in the Night

Late at night, you walk the streets
of Neopia Central, all alone.
The street lights flicker, on and off.
What lies in the dark is unknown.

And in just a second, from the shadows
a fearsome villain does appear.
You cower in front of its terrible visage,
but luckily your savior's here!

Clad in an orange suit and mask,
and on his chest, a large red K,
the Korbat Defender is here at last
to drive that vile villain away!

With great strength and agility,
and with great style to match,
the defender soars and attacks;
the forces of evil, he will dispatch.

Now with the threat of the villain gone,
you turn around, but see only night.
The brave Korbat's gone; no need for thanks,
he's flown off to fight the good fight.

Klutzy Kelly Korbat

Kelly Korbat is a Klutz
You better be aware
If you invite he to your home
Remind her to take care

She likes to move around real quick
She likes to fly real fast
You better keep your stuff all safe
If you want them all to last

This one time Kelly flew around
She flew around at night
Without the moon, it was quite dark
She barely used her sight

I was sleeping in my bed
When I heard a crash that night
Kelly crashed into my room
She gave me such a fright

Kelly Korbat what a klutz
When you fly at night
You better take real good care
Just take a little light

Alfred Pensworth III

Hunched over his gnarled wooden desk,
His wing illuminated by the flicker of candlelight,
He dips his quill into a jar of ink
And paints the paper with pictures of fright. 
These are not lovely stories,
That Alfred Pensworth III will write.
The plot of his stories are chilling—
The themes are ones that bite.
His characters are more evil than Dr. Sloth
And they all go bump in the night.
His imagination is vivd, 
The Korbat writer is very bright, 
But the Dark Tales of Neovia are a little too scary; 
For those easily scared, these stories aren’t right.

Kendrick the Korbat

Kendrick the Korbat lived deep in the mountains
In a cave filled with critters and magic potions
He worked in a laboratory like many Korbats do
Mixing gross magical things, eye of newt or a rotten shoe.

He lives in isolation, never having any vacations
Refusing to help Sloth with his transmogrifications
His potions are for good, morphing and medications
Not for creating evil monstrosities and mutations.

But one day he was discovered,
A spy showed up to steal his creations
But he had trained for this day with much dedication.

Kendrick flapped his wings and created a tornado
The spy tried to fight back with karate and taekwondo
He didn't stand a chance against the fierce Korbat
And soon he was blown out the door in ten seconds flat.

This left Kendrick afraid for his craft
Would his potions be safe now that he was under attack?
The spy could tell Sloth where he was hiding
Kendrick would need to move his lab before morning.

So he packed up his things, his most precious experiments
And he took off to find a new home in the Terror Mountain settlements

He decided to leave his isolation,
There is safety in numbers, not a cave of desolation
And so he found a house with plenty of neighbors,
He built a new base that was more in his favor.

With a crew of friends that he could now work with
A sewer and a merchant, he even found a blacksmith
To help him build better things and spread word of his creations
To spread his healing tonics through all of Neopia's nations!

A Beginner Tries to Grasp The Gormball Craze

I see a myriad of pets
Playing a game I have yet
To even watch or understand.
Whatever, it looks quite grand!

"It's called Gormball," the Korbat states.
"I haven't played it as of late."
"Join in! The more, the merrier.
You'll do fine, I'm super sure!"

The sphere flies ‘round a ring of size.
I am truly mesmerized
Until the brilliant ball explodes.
Onto Brian it unloads!

He is now out of the game.
I hope I won't meet the same
Fate as the Red Scorchio.
Yet it might happen, I know.

I'm playing when suddenly
The Gormball explodes on me!
Soaked, I run off to the side
While watching the remaining guys.

Ursula has won this game!
I shall hope to do the same.
Joyfully, I play once more—
This game does anything but bore.
