- Another holiday weekend is upon us! We will return on Tuesday of next week with all the news that's fit to print. Happy New Year everyone!

- The Bakery is proud to offer these new cakes for your Year 8 celebrations.
- Because of the holidays making this week quite short, there will be no Neopian Times this Friday. It will return in full force next week though with a double-sized issue!
- This Ogrin is keen on being painted Spotted. No, really. That face is just caused by the smell at the Rainbow Pool.
- Seeing as how it's a Friday, a new round of the Beauty Contest is about to begin. Good news for those owners wanting to show of their beautiful pets.
- This new Background is the perfect resolution for your New Years desktop. LOL Get it?
- Four New Years Shopkeepers are now available to add something special to your shop.
- This new Usuki is permanently excited about the New Year. Everyone loves a perpetually happy Usuki.

- A New Year's celebration is under way in this new Caption Contest. Can you think of something witty?

- This week's Neoadventure Spotlight goes to mali_the_silent_wolf and her adventure, Coltzan's Lost Pyramid.

- As promised, this week's Random Contest has been extended until next week. You've got an additional weekend to get those entries in.
- Too bad there's no world dedicated to Jelly in Neopia. Anyone who lived in such a world would probably find these new Jellies to be quite delightful.
- A Xweetok Sketch Background is now available. Not to be confused with a Sketch Xweetok Background. That would just be silly.
- Buddy Icons! That's right... four new icons dedicated to Jubble Bubble are now available. What a relief.
27th & 28th December - Ogrin Day!
- As the beginning of the week is a holiday, we have combined the 27th and 28th's news into one so today's news is extra large.
- First off, everyone welcome the Ogrin to Neopia! This new Neopet can now be yours in one of four fine colours. If you want to find out more the Ogrin, click

- Celia12312 and her Doomed,Evil castle are winners! A shiny Meridell Castle Spotlight trophy is now in her cabinet for use when gloating to friends and family.
- Three new Ogrin books are on sale in the Book Shop. Books are these things made of paper with writing inside. Try one!
- The 28th of December is official Ogrin day, but Cap'n Threelegs is giving out free training on the 27th this year as well to welcome the newcomers.
- If you fancy the Ogrin, why no choose one of the new Shopkeepers to guard your shop?
- We couldn't leave the poor Ogrin unarmed, so four new Battledome items have been released.
- Contratulations to himmelskatze for winning the User Lookup of the Week. Yay for winter!
