 Petpet Name: Buddy Owner: cid_man Pet Name: Goytal Breed: Grey Ghostkerchief About Buddy: *sigh* Said Goytal. "What's the matter, Goytal?" I asked. "Don't you like it here?" "Oh, yeah, it's great, all of it is great." "Then whats the matter?" "N-nothing, everything's perfect..." I was worried. Goytal was just adopted. He was abandoned, weak and hungry. I figured some grooming, feeding and a trip to the healing springs would do the trick, but he seemed even sadder then before. I took him on a tiki tour, bought him some clothes, I tried everything! He wouldn't be not one bit happier. "Um..." Goytal started. "Don't you have any other pets??" "No," I replied. "I don't remember the last time I had another neo-OH!" Of course! He was lonely. Why hadn't I seen it earlier? He looked a me, confused. "I only have you, that's all." *sigh* -BUT how about you and me go look for a petpet?" He perked up. "A petpet? YIPPEE!" Goytal danced cheerfully. "It's raining right now, and it's pretty late. Why don't we go first thing in the morning?" "O-okay!" Goytal replied happily. Nobody could sleep that night. Goytal was bouncing off the walls in his room. By the time he calmed down, it was already dawn. After a few hours of sleep, I fed him breakfast. Bacon and Eggs ice cream with some refreshing chocolate Kau Kau milk. He almost choked by eating so fast. Now was the moment he'd been waiting for. "Ready?" I asked. "YEAH!" he said with glee. We made it to the Petpet Shop. The owner was on her break, but there was a storm of petpets. We went through Buzzers and Mallards, Spardels and Tennas, but there wasn't anything that Goytal really liked. We walked out, both of us pretty down, buta box on the road caught me and Goytal's eyes. -FREE PETPETS- The box said. "YIPPEE!!" Goytal started again. But the box was empty, besides a torn up, grey cloth. It was raining and cold, so I gave the cloth to Goytal to keep him warm. "I'm sorry." I said. "I just want to go to bed..." Goytal replied. I gulped and said, "If that's what you want." I felt guilty, so I went to Goytals room. "I feel bad about what happened today," I started. "I thought there would be something you would-- I stopped. I looked at Goytal, Goytal looked at me. I couldn't believe what I saw. The grey cloth, was now rising. It was frowning, as if it did. A leaf blew in through the window. The cloth was now moving toward Goytal. He looked scared, but smiled at the some time. "What is it?" Goytal asked. "It looks like its your new friend." I said happily. "It looks sad." he replied. That's because it's grey. It always looks sad, evemn when it's happy." The cloth, unexpectedly, smiled at Goytal. "I think i'll name him, Buddy." "Well lookey here," I said. "Another surprise." It was a Fleaf, which seemed to be attached to Buddy. As everyone got prepared for bed, Goytal said "Thanks." I smiled, and walked out. I slept very well that night. In the morning, Goytal said "Good morning," accompanied by another "Good morning." from Buddy. They were the best of friends. From that day forward, Goytal has never been upset, or sad. He's been happy, and that's when I learned, everyone, big or small, needs a friend.
