 Petpet Name: Fudge Owner: froggygirl49 Pet Name: precoius_14 Breed: Sludgy About Fudge: "Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday, dear Precious! Happy Birthday to you!" everyone sang. I was sooo happy! My name is Precoius_14, Precious for short. Anyways, it was my birthday, and my best friend and family were all gathered together to celebrate it with me. And it was one birthday that changed my life for the best, forever. "Precious! Open your gifts!" Ponycorn101, my BFF the red uni said. "Me first!" shouted my brother LightningBolt_723. So, I then opened all of my gifts. Addie246, my sister, had bought me a golden locket. LightningBolt_723 got me a new book of spells (I am one of Kauvara's apprentices). Ponycorn101 got me a bottled faerie. At last, my owner, Maria, brought in a smelly box. I didn't know what to expect. At first, I thought it was a dung-object, but those were really gross and Maria knew they disgusted me. After five seconds of suspense, I didn't know what to expect. I took hold of the box, shook it a bit, and heard a squishing sound. I hurriedly tore off the starry wrapping paper and lifted the lid, but you'll never guess what it was. At first it looked like a pile of mud. All of a sudden, these two eyes popped out of the mud and I still had no idea what it was. "AHHH! WHAT IS THAT THING?!" I shrieked. "Thing?" giggled Maria. "That's a petpet! Its a Sludgy! Isn't he the cutest little thing you've ever seen?" I looked at the creature again. It looked up at me and waved. I had to admit,it was pretty cute, but I wouldn't call it a petpet. "Oh... Erm, thanks. He's, kinda cute... I'll, uhh, call him... Fudge," I tried to smile. Maria's face lit up, I could tell that she really thought I'd like him. And I did, but he was a little creepy... * * * After two weeks, I still didn't feel like there was any special connection between me and my petpet like there was supposed to be. He probably noticed, because he tried too hard to fix the problem, and he was very clumsy in the process. I wanted to really love my petpet like he loved me, but I couldn't. Well, at least I thought I couldn't. All that ended one day. I had just returned from a magic lesson with Kauvara. I was very close to graduating and I had to work on this dangerous potion for "homework". "Fudgey! Here boy!" I called as I entered through the doorway. He raced in with a smile as wide as Christmas, tripping over LightningBolt_723's shoes in the process (don't even ask me how a Sludgy trips!). He waved at me again, and I giggled, followed by a sigh when I saw the trail of slime he left behind. I always had to clean his slimy brown trails that he left as he moved. It was really gross. After I cleaned his slime, I went up to my room with him trailing behind me while licking a moldy lollipop he found under the couch. I took out my cauldron and put in all the ingredients for my dangerous concoction. Luckily, I had help from Fudge, who handed me the ingredients I needed in between playing with a Vernax crawling on my wall. "Morthog hair, chocolate Techo's toes, Poisonous Jelly, Spardell's nose," I called to Fudge, as he rummaged through my bag. He passed me the ingredients, a giant ball of lint, and a pile of dung. "Ewww! Erm, no thank you, Fudge, just the ingredients," I stated disgustedly, placing the "extras" back in his little corner. But, that little blob was persistent. He kept dumping the lint-ball and the dung in my lap, soiling my robe each time. "No, Fudge! I only need what I asked for!" I huffed. Then, I felt bad, because he looked hurt. He then started to sniffle a little bit and crawled into his bed, crying even harder when he looked back and forth from me to the cauldron. I shook my head, wondering what he was trying to tell me. But, I immediately turned my attention back to the potion. I sprinkled in the final ingredients and WHAMO! If everything went smoothly, then it should've turned purple. But, it turned green. Glowing green to be exact. "AHHH!!! What's going on?!" I screamed, but nobody was home to hear me, just myself and Fudge. The potion began to bubble and simmer, and I started to feel nauseous and dizzy. I collapsed to ground with my eyes burning and a terrible taste in my mouth. I had trouble breathing and I fell unconscious. Something had gone wrong, horribly wrong. And my time was almost up. I had lost all hope... But, Fudge hadn't! He opened his eyes and saw what was happening. He immediately sprang into action. He grabbed his pile of dung and giant lint ball and tossed them into my cauldron. The bubbling and simmering stopped. But, I was still out cold on the floor. He dragged me onto my bed in a comfy position. Fudge then took the little Vernax and squished it. He put the gross little mess onto his moldy lollipop and stuck it into my mouth. I woke up almost instantly, coughing and sputtering as if I had almost drowned just now. I looked up to see my little Savior smiling at me and waving at me. He leapt up and hugged me, and I hugged him back, both of us with tears in our eyes. He had known all along that I had missed out those two ingredients, which I realized after looking back at my notes. He was actually pretty smart for a little brown blob. I mean MY little brown blob. My sweet, smart, loving, little brown blob.
