The Golden Dubloon was getting ready to close as the owners waved good bye to their last customer. "Good night, Mike!" said Neffy, a cyan haired Neopian. "The headless horsefish was a sure delight!" As Neffy left the restaurant, she swung her sachet over her shoulder and began to walk to her home in Shenkuu. Sand floated through the whistling winds and tickled her knees. Neffy stopped for a moment to stare into the scenery before her. The stars smiled as they frolicked in the dark sky. The waves hugged the land as they brushed the sands. "What a beautiful night!" she thought to herself. Just when she thought she could take another step home, she heard a whimper: covered in the sand was a scruffy looking white Gelert with pirate clothing. "Oh my Coltzan, what's this?" she said as she picked up the pup. "It's just a young Gelert." With a bit of thought, Neffy knew she had to do the right thing. She decided to stay in Krawk Island for one more night to take care of the Gelert. Being good friends with one of the owners of the Golden Dubloon, Neffy decided that she was going to ask for a night's rest at the restaurant. Just as she was about to reach the door, the Gelert yelped and tried to paw out of her grasp. "GAHHH!" he screamed. Startled, Neffy dropped him onto the sand and stared at the white fluff ball. "What are youuuuu staring at?" he growled. "N-nothing. I thought I could help you get better," stuttered Neffy. "WHAT? I am INVINCIBLE. You're just a mere Neopian. I am a great pirate," the Gelert said proudly. "The name is Xolli. Bow before the great pirate captain!" Neffy raised her hands to her hips and stared closely into the Gelert's face. "You're just a little scruff ball," snorted Neffy. "What makes you think that you're better than me?" "Because unlike you, I have a great purpose in life." He smirked. "I'm in search of the greatest treasure of all!" "What and where is this great treasure?" questioned Neffy. A silence loomed over as the young Gelert scratched his head with his paws and stared into the dark sky. Thirty seconds passed and still no answer was given. "Heyyy," said Neffy. "I asked you a question." "I know you did," mumbled the white Gelert. "But this great treasure is too great to be shared." "So you don't know what it is?" said Neffy. "Of course I--- Yeah, I really don't," said the Gelert with disappointment. "I think I might know what the greatest treasure of all is," said Neffy. "Would you like to know?" The little Gelert looked at her with beaming eyes. "What is it?" "The greatest treasure of all is..." said Neffy with a smile. "A home." From that day on, the young scruffy white Gelert lived with Neffy in her home in Shenkuu.
