 Pet Name: Manastar Owner: cosmic_jirachi Breed: Aisha About Manastar: Recently my "owner" told me about these things called contests on this planet, and she mentioned that my life story would be great to share with everyone. Normally I would much rather spend my time doing more important things, like studying or exploring, but I suppose it can't be so bad to do write a report on myself for once. I am called Manastar and I am an inhabitant of Neopia, although that hasn't always been the case. I was born on a shooting star in the middle of a far-away galaxy, nowhere close to this planet. My father is an Aisha originally from Neopia and he met my mother while traveling through space. Shortly after they had me, my mother disappeared... at least that's my dad's side of the story. I have few memories of her, but I do remember the fact that she looks nothing like me. My father has always said she is the most beautiful being he has ever seen, but doesn't seem to know much about her origin. I spent most of my childhood "starhopping" as we like to call it, so I never had a permanent living arrangement. My mother was gone and my father has always loved to travel so we just made the universe our home. My favorite part about starhopping is learning about the places I visit and finding interesting and beautiful treasures along the way. I've always been the studious type and I love to analyze and discover things. Some may compare me to a historian, but I like to think of myself as a curious adventurer. I always heard stories about Neopia from my father. He informed me on all kinds of wars, the different types of creatures that inhabit the planet, and just about anything else he could remember about it. The only thing he didn't tell me was that he's been exiled from the planet forever. I only found out about that when I expressed interest in visiting this planet. He suddenly got really nervous and told me he could never return no matter how badly he wanted to see me thrive there. Eventually I faced a choice: traveling the universe with my father as always, or setting off to explore Neopia on my own. Luckily my father was very supportive of my pursuit of knowledge but it was a difficult decision for both of us to make. We parted ways and I made my way to Neopia, where I've been stationed ever since. It took some time to get on my feet here, especially due to the cultural change, but before long I found a friendly person to take me in. So far I have spent my time reading every book I can get my hands on and studying the history of Neopia. I have a petpet named Saturn and he spends most of his time exploring and bringing back cool treasures. I don't have much of a social life outside of my "owner" and my petpet, but that's acceptable as it gives me more time to focus on important things. While winning this Pet Spotlight would be quite the honor, my top priority will always be my roots. I want to learn everything I can about both sides of my ancestry, and I am confident that I will be able to find answers to many of the questions I've been asking myself here on this planet. After that, I plan on traveling further in an attempt to find my mother. Until then, I look forward to getting to know Neopia and all of its inhabitants!
