I am a firefighter. I enjoy my work, and I make good friends out of it. One day, I was attending a bushfire in the outer reaches of Neopia (Hey, it DOES happen!), when I heard a little whimper coming from a clump of bushes. Dragging a hose along for protection from the heat, I approached the bushes and pulled out a scared little Techo. It was obvious that he had no owner, so I tucked him into my jacket and headed back to the fire truck, where I wrapped him up in a blanket and put him on a seat to sleep while I helped put the fire out. Later, I took him back to my tent, and I named him Star_Tech.

Star_Tech and I enjoyed our time together. When I had the time off, Star_Tech and I would often walk together on the beach of Mystery Island, or we would have a snowball fight on Terror Mountain. At night, we would cuddle up near the fireplace and toast marshmallows (mine often caught alight, and Star_Tech would laugh every time) or we would read a book. Soon Star_Tech was off to Neo-Fu, the Training School on Mystery Island, to learn skills like speed and strength. He surprised me when he said that he'd like to become a firefighter too, so I started teaching him fire safety and soon, Star_Tech was fighting fires by my side.

Nearly a year after I found Star_Tech, we were training on the Tyrannian Plateau when a creature similar to a Griffin appeared. My Neopian knowledge helped me to identify it as an Eyrie. "G'Day," I said to it as it approached us. "My name's Aussie Lore, and this here's Star_Tech. What's your name?"

"MyLordEyrie," it answered in a low voice. "What are you doing?"

"Training," Star_Tech said excitedly. "Wanna join in? It's fun!" MyLordEyrie smiled and nodded.

"Of course I would like to join in. I have been watching you both for some time now, and it does look fun." I smiled at them both, and at the speed of which they made a strong friendship. As the afternoon progressed, the friendship between Star_Tech and MyLordEyrie was so strong that MyLordEyrie couldn't bear to leave us.

"We have plenty of room," I offered. "Do you want to stay with us? I don't have a house yet, but there's always plenty of room in the tent."

Star_Tech nodded in agreement. "Oh, please stay!"

MyLordEyrie chuckled. "I will stay with you," he said.

"Yay!" Star_Tech jumped up and down until I held him down. He hugged me. "Oh, thankyou, Aussie!" he exclaimed before racing around a little. Both MyLordEyrie and I chuckled.

"How long is the offer open?" MyLordEyrie asked.

"As long as you want to stay with us, you can stay with us." I said.

MyLordEyrie still lives with Star_Tech and I. He has joined the Neopian Fire Brigade too, and the three of us can often be found roaming Neopia on our days off in search of treasure maps, codestones and good times. Star_Tech often rides on MyLordEyrie's back, and their friendship is now stronger than ever.
