It was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. But it wasn't always once upon a time...

See, Furizuu was abandoned carelessly in the disown part of Neopia Central. And I, Jessica, once took a walk over to the adoption center; cause I wanted a pet that had been disowned, to have a home.. with me; especially for the holidays. And when I caught glimpse of those darling eyes, and tears streaming down his face, I knew right there that Furizuu and I were meant to be.

So I adopted him. The bouncing red cub was so excited to have a home once more! And my other pets, who were soon his family, greeted him with such pleasure. On the way back home at Neopia Avenue, we stopped at the rainbow fountain. I noticed I had a Paintbrush left over from months ago. Each pet was urging to be painted with the festive colors, except for Furizuu. He really didn't care how he looked. So, I picked up the bundle of joy, and placed him into the water. He didn't enjoy the water, and jumped out; bumping into me, and knocking the paintbrush out of my hand!

And then, boom! It hit him smack on the head. He was un-consicous for a moment, and then opened his eyes. Ichijou, Sereiia, Shauntei and I giggled, as I helped the cub onto his gigantic paws. And I noticed.. that one smack on the head with the paintbrush, turned him into a radiant Christmas Kougra! But, he felt strange. It was the hat and shawl. He begged for me to remove them, and so I did. And then, as I was about to remove the holly from his tail, he swiped my hand away! I guess he found it attractive. Once in a while, he'll wear the hat and shawl, but he usually likes wearing only the holly.

We've been so close ever since that day, and I'm glad that he's celebrating his first Christmas.. with a real family. His history started off rough, but it was a 'happily ever after'.
