About Elighanara:
The Origins of Elighanara's Scar
So you're curious about the scar on my right eyebrow, if not wondering about the piece missing from my ear. Well,
sit down and I'll tell you how it all happened... and how I met my new friend Guineboud. Actually to tell you the
truth it was all Guineboud's fault, but he'll never admit it.
It started on one of my robberies. The prize this time was the Golden Coltzan Statue. As you might have heard, this
beautiful golden statue is said to have been blessed by King Coltzan himself. So of course it was going to be quite
difficult to steal it away from the rich Neopet that possessed it.
I had managed to find a back door into the Neopian's residence through his manor's seller, and snuck into the kitchen.
I had bribed one of the kitchen hands earlier in the week for a rough hand drawn map of the manor's interior to help
me out. And with this I had easily zigzagged my way to the library where the statue was being kept ... evidently, I was
so eager to get to the prize that I had totally forgotten about the guards that routinely walk the hallways.
As the guards were coming around the corner, and me with nowhere to hide, I did what I could in my panicked state. I
tried blending in with the wall, which of course was white ... and I wasn't. Lucky for me the guards were too busy
yakking it up with each other to even notice me, and I quietly snuck into library - with it's nicely oiled hinges. I
thank the guy for wanting to keep his house looking in tiptop shape. Makes it easier to sneak around *snicker* Of course,
upon entering the library I was faced with one surprised looking Ixi - Guineboud. He was making off with my prize!
Unfortunately, I voiced my displeasure a little too loud. Oopse.
Now with the guards alerted to the presence in the library, Guineboud and I had to make our escape. Unknown to me, he
planed on pushing me into the guards, slowing them down, and running off. Well, it sort of worked. See Guineboud has
this unlucky streak that pops up now and again, and when he went to push me, he got himself caught on my shirt, and the
two of us ended up tumbling into the guards. With the 4 of us all struggling to get to our feet, guards grabbing for us,
and we trying to bolt for it, Guineboud got the bright idea to try and attack one of the guards as a distraction. Of
course with his luck still running against him - AND everyone round him - he ended up biting me in the ear! In a
bizarre twist of fate Guineboud's plan sort of worked as my pain filled shriek unnervered the guards (I have quite the
set of lungs on me). Unfortunately, the horrible luck didn't end there, and as the two of us ran for the window at the
end of the hallway, Guineboud triped. I was suddenly being hurled out the window in a not so graceful fashion with an
Ixi on top of me. It was here, as we were crashing through the trees, that I received the scar on my eyebrow. Apparently,
after seeing what two bodies can do to a brass statue, we discovered that the statue was a fake. Probably meant to be so,
so that thieves wouldn't be able to take off with it, which I probably would have been able to figure out if Guineboud
wasn't there. Oh well.
