About whippy_dood:

I can just see you sitting there thinking, "Is that what she really looks like?" The answer is yes. I really do look like a teapot. If you settle down, I'll tell you why.

Ever since I was born I've visited the Coffee Shop in the Deep Catacombs everyday. It's the best place to chill out with your friends, drink warm beverages and snack on tea cakes. Being such a regular visitor I am quite friendly with Flora, the coffee shop owner. We often sit and chat together on the squishy couches in the shop.

One day when I came by for a drink Flora had something exciting to show me. I helped myself to a pot of chamomile tea and followed her into the kitchen, an area restricted only to the staff and special friends, like myself. She showed me a beautiful new green cooking pot, filled with earl grey.

"It just turned up on my doorstep last night," she told me. "I don't know who it's from but it sure is useful. There are only so many times the old copper pot can be patched up."

I congratulated her on finding such a wonderful cooking pot.

"Look." Flora pointed to something on the inside edge of the pot. "The maker has added their own personal touch: A little picture of a skull."

I bent over to admire the craftsmanship. Underestimating the size of my beak, it dipped into the boiling tea. I yelped and leapt back. The pot of chamomile tea I was holding was spilling. I tried to steady myself but instead slipped on the spilled tea and fell backwards into the cooking pot, teapot in hand.

Instead of feeling the tea boiling my feathers off, I just felt a warm, prickling sensation. Not believing my luck, I looked down at my wings to see if they were still there. They were. It was just the teapot that I had been holding that was having problems. It was melting before my eyes and being absorbed by my feathers. I shook my wing to try and shake it off. It was too late. The molten teapot had been soaked in like a sponge into my wing. My body gave a quick shudder and the tea threw me out of the pot. Flora looked at me, her eyes wide. I had turned into a teapot, a speckled lenny teapot.

I later found out that it was not just a fine cooking pot that I had fallen into but The Cooking Pot from Mystery Island. You can understand my disbelief. Apparently Jhuidah had gotten so fed up with Pango Pango being in such a bad mood all the time that she left Mystery Island and set sail for Neopia Central, taking the pot with her. She gave it an almighty push down the hill next to the High Street and it came rolling down onto Flora's doorstep. It was just my misfortune that I fell into it.

I was sad at the time for being transformed into a teapot. I constantly pleaded Jhuidah to turn me back into a normal speckled lenny but the answer was always the same: It cannot be reversed. Since then I've come to love my new look. I am the only living teapot in the world and proud of it too. My love for tea and my love for being unique made me see that being a lenny teapot is groovy!
