Pet Name: AriellaBellaBoo About AriellaBellaBoo: My name is Ariella and winter is my favorite season of the year. I just love it! Winter holidays are the very best! There's Christmas and Hanukkah and New Year's Eve--there are so many parties to go to at our friends' houses. And everyone makes yummy treats to share! At my house we celebrate Yule, and it's my favorite holiday of the year, especially because we do lots to celebrate and make it special. Let me tell you about it! We put up lots of decorations in my house. My mom and my sister Pam and I just absolutely LOVE all sorts of wintry stuff we can find or make to spruce up our place and make it festive! Decorations are fun to make and share and save from year to year. Every year, the first thing we do is go out to the Neopian forest and get a GIANT pine tree (at least 10 feet tall!!) and take it home with us. It's hard to even get it in the door, but somehow we manage to do it. And then the fun begins! We decorate it with garlands, strings of red and green colored popcorn, shiny hollow balls in silver and blue and purple and green, tiny silver bells, strands of icicles, and lots special ornaments we make ourselves. We've made lots and lots of decorations for our home from paper, clay, pine cones, candies--just about anything really! We've made snow people and pets out of cotton balls, houses out of gingerbread and cookies, snowflakes out of paper, sparkly pine cone wreaths, Wintery Petpets from clay that we've painted ourselves. . . Our house is so filled with decorations, you can hardly see the walls, floors or ceilings--and it just wouldn't be the same if it weren't. We also LOVE to bake tasty cookies and pies. We make our own Jinja cookies and decorate them in lots of silly ways! We make fruit pies and chocolate pies and nut pies and cream pies and. . . YUM! There is almost always something baking in our oven during the Month of Celebrating. Mmmm, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!! My favorite is anything with chocolate, but I like just about everything, especially if it's homemade. We also decorate the outside and inside of our house with a million or so lights. I like to help string them up and connect them all together and then when we finally turn them on. . . it's a really magical moment for me, and I know that the holidays are finally here. Sometimes I wish the Month of Celebrating didn't only come once a year! My favorite holiday memory is of a special present I made for my little sister Pam last year. I spent a really long time making it just right, and I was so happy that she really loved it a lot. I made her a winter Jubjub out of clay, painted yellow just like her, wearing a red hat and scarf, holding a snowflake in the palm of its hand, and covered with sparkly glitter. I spent hours making the shapes just right and painting it with special details. I wanted it to look just like her but also to look magical and fantastical. I didn't show my creation to anyone, not even my mom, and my mom kept wondering what I was doing in my room every evening that I wouldn't let anyone see. After I was finally done, I wrapped it up so carefully and put a giant red bow on the box and put it under the tree and waited. When Pam opened my gift, her eyes got huge and her face lit up and she let out a cute little squeal! I could see that she really loved it a lot. It made me feel really good to make her smile like that. I was really glad that I didn't just buy something for her, 'cause it was so much more fun to give her something made special just for her, and I know it meant a lot to her. It let her know that I think she's really terrific. Decorations and presents and yummy treats are all fun and special, but the best part about the holidays for me is spending time with my family and with friends and showing them how much I care. I'm really thankful for my family and friends, 'cause I'd sure be lonely without them! I love you Mom, Pam, and everyone else!!
Well, I guess that's about all. I hope everyone has a great winter season and stays warm and safe. Happy Holidays and Happy
New Year!!!
