 Pet Name: picanmix Owner: maisterofmagic Breed: Kau About picanmix: "Hiya all, my name's Picanmix, and I'm a kau who just loves experimenting in the secret laboratory. Ever since i've been a tiny little kau i've been pouring chemicals into my baby drinking flask to try and make a magic potion. Even in pre-school chemistry was by far my favourite subject and right now i've just qualified from the neo-university with a neo-diploma in potion-making. Kauvara always been my favourite kau and has always been a real inspiration to me. I've been trying to emulate Kauvara's style in potion making for years but it doesn't really get any easier. I love reading about Kauvara’s adventures before I go to bed each night: my favourite is probably the one where Kauvara accidentally shrinks himself and is rescued by a mootix! I visit Kauvara in his magical shop in neopia central once a week and sometimes I sell him potions or we discuss magical ingredients and the state of the magical potions market. I have also been travelling round Neopia in a quest to find potions and during my adventures I’ve come across some pretty amazing stuff. I’ve been amazed by the magical potion brewing school in faerieland, taken aback by the disastrously hot temperatures of the lost desert and I tell you those monsters on that mysterious new Lost Isle aren’t the easiest creatures to work with. I’ve taken the slime from a slorgs’ nest, handpicked sea-shells from the bottom of Kiko Lake, battle with the giant squid of Maraqua, extracted moon dust from the mines of Kreludor, scraped the burnt fragments of mummified bagusses from the pyramids of the lost desert and still my adventures continue. The life of a neopian scientist is glitzy and full of glamour when you succeed, but less than desirable when you haven’t quite made it into the limelight. For years I’ve spent hours and hours in the secret laboratory, not even noticing night and day go past as I furrow my brow at complicated calculations and attempt countless combinations of ingredients in order to find a sparkle, a glimpse of some magic. Working away constantly I soon uncovered the secrets behind the healing potions made by the faeries, breached the chemical make-up of codestones, discovered the secret ingredient in transmogrification potions and even uncovered the identity of the pigment in a Darigan paintbrush. Gaining all this knowledge has filled me with a desire to fulfil neopians with the magical marvels of potion making. I feel I can make a real contribution to neo-science with the depth and particular insight of my research. I feel it is necessary that I spend my hours within the deep dank quarters of the secret laboratory so the Neopians all around will benefit from the magic of better healing potions, more astonishing transformation potions and better potions of concealment, freezing, fire and battle. Right now I'm working on a potion that will reveal to the user the truth behind the whole world of Neopets. If all goes well I'll soon have a neo-nobel prize! Wish me luck!" Picanmix :)
