 Pet Name: Cubitt Owner: smokey382 Breed: Bori About Cubitt: He's adventurous. He's inquisitive. He's a bit careless and foolhardy. He's also only nine years old. But don't point that out to him - he's somewhat touchy about his age. If Cubitt had a quarter for every time his age got in the way of some adventure, why, he'd be a very rich nine-year old indeed. In the face of such a drawback, Cubitt found his passion in exploring the wilderness at an early age. Let it never be thought that Cubitt was never a daring explorer. At least with adventuring, there's never been an age limit. He's walked along the sand dunes of the Lost Desert under the blazing sun, gone deep-sea diving into the heart of the abandoned Maraquan Ruins (during which he came face-to-face with that nasty, grump of a sea slug), and traveled on the rickety suspension bridges of Shenkuu. He's done all this, and never once been late for dinner with the rest of the family. Astounding? I'd say so. Of course, he doesn't do all this alone. Brighton, his comrade (who also happens to be a plushie rock), is always there to revel in the excitement with him. Their crown achievement? Traveling past the ends of the earth to the mysterious Jelly World. Not that it exists, of course. His tattered, old diary that he's had since he was a mere pup details some of his most exciting escapades: "July 3 (10:05 AM): Ever since Mum read me that article about the crew of The Cyodrake's Gaze and the previously unknown land they came from, I knew that was going to be my next destination. Now to get ready and pack some provisions.." "July 3 (4:52 PM): It's been two hours since I've left home, and I'm already low on rations. Maybe it's because Brighton gulped down two of my sandwiches when I wasn't looking. Typical. At least the weather's been good to us so far. My maps show that this'll be one of the furthest trips I've ever made..." "July 5 (1:34 PM): Had to make camp in the middle of the Haunted Woods. Lost a pair of boots thanks to the muddy swamp. Can't see far ahead thanks to fog. Brighton swears he just heard something moving in the bushes. This isn't looking good..." "July 8 (8:52 AM): After making it out of the spookiest place on earth, we made it to the base of the mountain range. We've had to stock up on some winter gear. We've seen no sign of any other life for the past few hours. Brr, it's cold..." Who knows? Maybe one day during your travels throughout Neopia, you'll run across a rather unimposing Bori and his plushie rock. If you do, be sure to say hello!
