Pet Name: Kairaxi
Owner: cyroblaze
Breed: Xweetok

About Kairaxi:
"Here comes the Cyclone! Run!" A series of shrill cries rang through the corridor, followed by loud slams and clicks as doors were being locked and bolted.

"Wait! I want some foooooood!" I hollered as I bounded toward the citadel's banquet hall and newly constructed food court. "Open up!" I demanded, pounding on the heavy wooden doors.

"Nobody's here!" came a muffled voice from inside.

"Come on! I'm really hungry! I just want a sandwich or a cookie or a..."

"Kairaxi!"

I jumped in surprise and spun around to face the owner of the voice. It was the Lord of the citadel. He was looming over me with his arms crossed and his trademark scowl (which seemed a lot more menacing right now).

"Oh, hey, Uncle! What's up?" I said nervously, trying hard to smile sweetly.

"What's up? Is that all you youngsters say when you greet each other nowadays? Well, I'll tell you what's up!"

He held up part of a broken vase. "You know what this is?" he demanded.

I shook my head vigorously.

He leaned down and hissed into my ear, "It was my favorite vase that my dear mother gave me, and you smashed it to pieces!"

I gulped. "Sorry..."

"Sorry is not enough!" The Lord straightened up and raised his voice. "You are always so clumsy and you trip all over the place. Each day, you break at least something in this citadel, not to mention the wreck you caused in the food court yesterday. We can't take any more of your clumsiness. I want you out of my citadel!"

"But Uncle..."

"No buts!"

I stumbled backward. I turned to walk away, but my tail was tangled around my legs. With a loud crash, I tumbled over and knocked a decorative armour off of its stand. The armour crashed onto the floor and broke apart. Pieces of it were bouncing and clanging everywhere.

"That's it!" screamed the Lord, his face turning a vivid shade of red. "I want you out of Darigan. Now!"

I unwound my tail and ran towards the main doors as fast as my legs would take me. A startled guard saw me and rushed to open the gates. I sprang out into the dark sky and spread my wings, letting the wind catch me and guide me to wherever it wanted to go.

-----

I woke up with a start. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I must have been flying forever last night because my wings ached. I stretched my wings and looked around. The sun was in the middle of the sky. I was sitting under a bush in a small flower garden. A large neohome loomed over me. I started to rise, but suddenly, a ghostly blue Xweetok with glowing red eyes popped up in front of me. I opened my mouth to scream, but the Xweetok quickly put a paw over my mouth. I tried to push her away, and I stumbled on a starflower and crushed the poor thing.

"I'm so sorry!" I whimpered. I tried to prop up the wilting starflower, but its stem snapped, and it fell back down onto the ground, its crumpled petals hanging limply.

"Shhhh!" she whispered. "That's okay. I can fix that." She stretched out her paw and set it lightly onto the starflower. Her paw started to glow as soft blue light started to flow from her paw into the starflower. The stem reattached itself, and the petals uncrumpled themselves and seemed to grow a lot more vivid than it was before. I sat there, gaping in awe.

"How did you do that?" I asked softly.

"I was born with the power to heal and fix things. I can reconstruct anything with my magic, as long as it isn't completely destroyed. By the way, I'm Aly." She held out her paw tenderly and smiled. "What's your name, and why are you here?"

"I'm Kairaxi, but you can call me Kai," I said. I held my paw over to shake hers. "I was erm, kicked out of my home because I was too clumsy. I was always breaking things on accident. I don't think anybody will want someone as clumsy as me," I added, tears welling up in my eyes.

"You can stay with my family!" exclaimed Aly. "You can join my family, and we could become sis..."

"Wait," I interrupted in surprise. Am I hearing things right? "Why would you want me to join your family? Nobody likes me. I'm too clumsy. I cause destruction everywhere. People even call me the Cyclone!"

"Well, you seem like a nice Xweetok," Aly explained. "And our owner loves any Xweetok. Many of my siblings were unwanted, but she has brought them into her care. She loves us all despite the weaknesses we have. Anyways, everyone has traits that may not be good. Take Catio, for example." She gestured to a striped Xweetok that was bouncing around the lawn as if she was having a sugar rush. "She becomes super hyperactive when she eats sugar, which makes her very annoying and crazy, and her previous owner didn't like her because of it, but my owner took her in, and she still loves her, even when she's hyper."

"But, what if I break something?"

"Don't worry." Aly laughed. "I said I can fix things, right? If you break something, just come to me and I'll use my magic to make it as good as new. So what do you say? Are you going to join us or not?"

I smiled as if I won the lottery. "Of course I will!"

I guess there is a place for everyone in this world. Even for a super clumsy Xweetok like me.
