Ogrin and Gnorbu: Innocent Migration or Conspiracy?!

by enji_musha

--------

Two new pets... Within seven to eight days of each other... Looking similar... Has anyone really noticed how quickly these two new neopets have come together? Gnorbus (released on the 6th of January) and Ogrins (released on the 27th or 28th of December) look incredibly similar.

The news on the day of the Ogrin was announced to be spotted in Neopia was doubled up... Why? There could be few reasons for that, as the 27th was on a Tuesday, and the 28th was, naturally, a Wednesday! Since that is apparently the case... Why WAS the news doubled up? Perhaps an entire department of the Neopets Team were busy on the 28th... However, 'The Neopets Team is made up of over 160 individuals' (announced in the 222 issue, on the 6th day of Sleeping in Year 8), so how is it possible to have an entire division of a huge, constantly working site gone? I'll tell you how, it isn't! The very next day of the combined news, the 29th, there was news! And the 30th, NEW YEAR'S EVE, there was news! Why would these two days alone be combined? Hm? Because of the CONSPIRACY!

Ogrins and Gnorbus look similar, don't they? The Ogrin has less of a mane, and is skinner than the new Gnorbu, and while the Gnorbu has spots, the Ogrin has stripes, but that is basically all of the difference, isn't it? A different hair (or fur) cut and straighter, furrier ears for the Ogrin, and floppy, short-haired ears for the Gnorbu... What does this all mean, really? I'LL TELL YOU WHAT IT MEANS! CONSPIRACY!!

When, I ask you, have we had such similar looking species? And so close together? I think what we have here, everybody, is what I'd like to call LLAMA SUPREMACY! Ogrins and Gnorbus look VERY much like llamas, no? And the time that was between of each of their releases were so short that I have come to an answer on why the 27th and 28th news was combined! THEY NEEDED THE OGRINS TO RELEASE THE GNORBUS!

WHY, though, would the Neopets Team need the Ogrins to move to Neopia to get the Gnorbus to move to Neopia? It's obvious! Ogrins and Gnorbus are clearly related. The Gnorbus obviously being the older ones among these two groups, they liked where they were before they came to Neopia. The normally timid and shy Ogrins would never leave without their older relatives. It'd be like you or me leaving our best friends and family behind while we move to a new country! And we all know that we'd never do that. And since both species weren't going to leave, how was the Neopets Team supposed to get one or the other over here? With a master plan, of course!

The Ogrin is as gullible as it is shy. So, a member of the staff at Neopets simply had to go to a group of these young, gullible species, and make something up! They told the Ogrins all about Neopia, and how it was the perfect place to live. They also told them that the reason that the Gnorbus didn't want the Ogrins to leave was because they were going to Neopia secretly by themselves at night. This broke the youngsters' hearts. They thought to themselves, "How could they leave us all alone and unprotected at night? Why would they do this to us?" And the staff member gave them an answer. "It's because Neopia is so great, that they've been testing it out for all of you, to see if it was safe to move. They're getting tired of traveling so much during the night, however, that they've all secretly caught Bloaty Feet! They only cure for this is Magical Smelly Socks, which are only found in the Neopian Pharmacy." However timid the Ogrins normally were, it didn't show now. They became wild with worry, and wanted to leave right away to Neopia, the only place with the cure for the disease all of their beloved relatives had caught. Thus, they ran away from their older, secret-keeping relatives during nap time, and ran to Neopia to get the cure!

Of course, however, the Gnorbus didn't have Bloaty feet. They had never even been to Neopia before. Only one Gnorbu had ever seen Neopia, and that had been when one of the Neopian staff members had taken him to be seen in April to see how everyone reacted to him. Since everyone loved him, the Neopets Team decided that they had to get them to move to Neopia. Three and a half days after all of the Ogrins had left for Neopia, the Neopets Team told all of the worried Gnorbus where they had gone, without, however, telling them the reason WHY they had gone. Having no choice but to follow them, and being sick with worry, the Gnorbus had to come to Neopia to make sure the younger ones didn't get into trouble. This explains why they look so similar and why they came here with such little time in between them.

After finding the Ogrins in the Neopian Pharmacy, the Gnorbus were incredibly pleased to find them in the care of many loving Neopians. After a bit of house searching, and a bit of research, the Gnorbus decided to stay in Neopia, because it seemed like a much more interesting place than where they had come from. Each one of the new species thanked the Neopets Team over and over again for giving them the information about the other species. The Neopets Team happily took the thanks from the species, their evil secret kept hidden under their grins. They knew that their secret would never be discovered, and never revealed to the unsuspecting public. Of course, they never knew that there was a little Rainbow Cybunny that goes by the name of Little_Bunny007 spying on them all the time, secretly getting paid in carrots for every word of information given to her owner, enji_musha.
