Celebrating Korbat Day this Fall
Korbats face the stigma of being seen as terrifying neopets - I mean after all, they are bats and they lurk in the darkest of nights with their favourite haunt being the eerie Haunted Woods. Beware the Zomutt!
A shock of light blue fur emerged from behind the Ice Caves' headstone in the Game Graveyard. Large floppy ears twitched as the Neopet raised his nose to the sky and scented the air. The Baby Lupe's red bandanna was disheveled and his eyelids drooped. He had spent the last hour challenging himself with the now retired puzzles in the Ice Caves.
He didn't earn any Neopoints from the game, since it was retired. He had earned a little bit of pride from completing the puzzles, and he felt a little smarter.
Caspianboi's jaw expanded with a deep yawn as he watched the sun fall below the horizon. He hadn't planned on staying in the Game Graveyard past dark, but he had lost track of time. The graveyard was located in the Haunted Woods, and he could barely see the tip of Edna's Tower off in the distance. He couldn't even pick up a sound from the Gypsy Camp, where he knew a warm fire was probably roaring to keep away the cold. |

Her convalescence was long-drawn. The best healers in the city did everything in their power to ensure a speedy recovery. In spite of their efforts, once Delia's state was stable and her life out of danger, she remained weak and frail, a shadow of her former self. The training pitch where she once excelled only frustrated her further. The visits of her admirers and companions in arms could not alleviate her gloom or her boredom. After some time, even her closest friends did not call in on her as often. "You've already made so much progress," said an eventide Wocky with a kind smile as she arranged fresh flowers into a vase.

"And you found this note where?”
“It was pinned to a desk with a knife,” answered Orlitz. She was back in the Brightville ticket booth, seated in a beanbag chair. Well, the Cybunny wanted to be seated, but it was difficult to appear dignified whilst sinking into an oversized plush sack. Across from her, Sophia Grigsby leaned against her desk and studied the ransom note found in the welcome center.
“I think this, without a doubt, proves that Erin is being held against her will,” she continued, “so I think it’s time we contacted the Brightvale Guard.” Orlitz struggled out of her lumpy seat (which at this point had absorbed most of the Cybunny), and reached for the ransom note, but Sophia stopped her. She slumped back into the beanbag.
“Orlitz, I’m not sure I want Brightville to get this kind of publicity so close to its demolition,” she began, “and for all we know, this might as well be some sort of publicity stunt to preserve the park. You never found Lou, did you?” |
