Petpet Name: Ardra Owner: _razcalz_ Pet Name: Duckie Breed: Sketch Weewoo About Ardra: Hi, my name is -- Wait! Wait! Please don't dismiss me as another one of those spotlight Petpets whose talking you don't have time to listen to anymore. I will make it worth your while. In fact, I am going to say three things about myself, and you will be interested before or by the time I finish. Yeah? Number one: I am not a white Weewoo. Even though the picture is white. Even though those newspapers I draw moustaches on love white Weewoos. I am... dun-de-dum... SKETCH! Number two: Even though I am raising my foot in previously mentioned picture, I was not attempting to step on my Petpetpet at the time. (He's a Glyme, you know. Glyme of Slyme and all that.) It might be a dance, but that's kind of hard when you don't have wings. Or arms. Number three: I travel by SHEET OF PAPER. Are you hooked yet? 'Course you are. The Weewoo smiles and sits happily. My name's Ardra! I belong to Duckie, who is a baby Lenny and who belongs to the Big Owner. First things first. Duckie is not a good artist. You should see that first picture she drew of me. Actually, you shouldn't. It might eternally maim your impression of the honourable Weewoo. I had eyes that varied several times in size, a misshapen blob for a head, and a scalene triangle that may have been a beak. The rest, well, she didn't get to drawing it. But then the Big Owner decided to fix me up. I mean, she's no artistic genius either, but at least her lines were straight, and my feathers looked like feathers, and I had FEET. And it went to the point where I actually looked like a pretty passable Weewoo sketch! The world is good again. You see, the thing about me is that I don't just sit on a pet's shoulder like a Weewoo would, or get carried around, or even walk. I just hop into a piece of paper and drift away. I'm a sketch, after all. I'm extremely portable. Actually, I was just trying to be impressive. Drifting's pretty hard, because sometimes you might get no wind at all, or the opposite, too much wind. That's not good. Ever been blown halfway across an island and gotten stuck in a tree just because someone left the window open? I think I may be the only Weewoo who's seen the clouds that up close. The rest of them don't fly, you know. So usually I get my sheet of paper (it has my name on it!), and Duckie carries it around with me on it. Mind you, I've gotten into some pretty weird places even with this method of transportation... that time in the pond REALLY smudged me, but Big Owner always manages to make the sketch right again. And when I want off, I just peel away. Good, eh? Being 2-D has its upsides, though. I fit into small spaces like a dribble of steam! (Well, not really, but I'm pretty small anyway.) They can never keep me out of someplace because door cracks are nice to me. You're thinking this potentially makes for top-notch troublemaking in the Neohome. I'm not really that type. Actually, I might be, if Duckie stopped threatening me with the... ... the... The ERASER. She'd never. I know she wouldn't! That Lenny likes her little Weewoo too much. That's me, by the way. But that doesn't make it less scary. One swipe and I'm tailless all over again! No way. No, no. By the way, the Glyme's not sketch. (There is no such thing, you silly.) But I asked Big Owner not to colour him in, because then he would steal the limelight from me. Slimy things are quite sly, you know. You should come by sometime. Maybe you could even carry me and my paper around, and I wouldn't end up in odd places such as the trench in the carrot patch. What do you think? I think Duckie's calling. I'll say hello to the carrots for you.
