The Curse of the Werelupe
By Burning_shadows_79

A dark and deadly creature roams;
The moon is hidden from our eyes.
We now have safety in our homes,
But soon, the Werelupe's curse will rise...

A Spyder casts a silhouette
Upon the darkened ground below
As she spins her silken net
And waits for prey to come and go.

Korbats fill the inky skies
And soar among the forest trees;
They fill the night with high-pitched cries,
Their wings outstretched upon the breeze.

But now the clouds begin to drift;
The moonlight shines upon the ground.
The deepest shadows start to shift
And every creature hears the sound...

The Werelupe's howl rings through the night,
A warning of the curse to come;
And everyone is tense with fright,
And searching for a place to run...

The beast rears up; its claws are bared;
It searches for unwary prey.
The Korbats flee to who knows where,
The Spyder scurries far away...

Deep within the forest gloom,
The Werelupe wanders through the night.
The clouds begin to hide the moon,
Covering its feeble light.

The Werelupe howls and slips away
Retreating to its hidden den;
For now, the curse is held at bay,
But one day it will rise again...

The Faerie Slorg
By Stariell

Mottled pink and paler spots,
It flits between the chimney pots.
Wings that flutter much like leaves,
Balance as it perches on the eaves.

Tiny in proportion to its size,
There must be a magical device,
That keeps it in the air at all,
A creature that seems sure to fall.

Not made with grace or speed in mind,
When given flight, it suddenly finds,
An elegance no earthly thing
Could ever possess, without a wing.

Chewing through, with greatest ease,
The highest of the leaves on trees,
So it seems a whole new world
Has with its miniature wings unfurled.

What is this creature, flitting by,
Leaving pink slime trails in the sky?
Flying far too quick to be caught...
A faerie Slorg. Well, who'd have thought?

Ode to a Gummy Rat
By Elys3

As I wandered, slightly lost,
I stumbled on an eerie place.
'Twas full of flashing lights and sounds
and a grinning coconut's face.

What was this place? I did not know,
But soon I would find out.
A barker yelled, "Step up, good lass,
Will you win a Snorkle Snout?"

He offered me a mallet, and told me what to do
And thus I hit, with all my strength.
The bar, it rose! And up and up!
But sadly, to no great length.

"A weakling? That's not fair!" I cried.
"I'm far stronger than that!"
The Mynci said "Tough luck, my friend,"
and tossed me a Gummy Rat.

At first I was disgusted --
I think I saw it move!
But once I took a nibble,
I surprisingly would approve.

"O gummy rat!" I did declare,
"Good spooky food of flavours three!"
I could not tell which I liked best --
lime, grape, or strawberry.

And so my love for them began,
the (almost) Gummy Rat.
The only food that tastes like grape
and could run away at the drop of a hat.

An Ode to Key Quest
By Oblivionxriku

Behold, yon Key Quest!
An adventure fantastic,
an adventure bombastic.
So come one, come all!
See the magnificent Quest,
and perhaps your skills will be put to the test.

Onward and forward,
gathering Neopoints galore!
But beware the Rainbow Sticky Hand,
for your prizes will be no more.
Brave Neopet, step forward,
and collect the last key!
White, green, yellow, red, and blue!
And rejoice, young adventurer!
You've hoarded them all.
Three steps from the portal,
your pockets weighed down with treasure untold!

Rolling the die, you advance toward the portal.
Blissfully bouncing before that green door,
You wonder what waits for you,
What prizes, what more!

But alas, as you stand there, suddenly you hear,
"Oops! The game has ended abnormally!"
Bitterly bawling and brooding, you sigh.
And curse your opponent for abandoning you there.
Slowly you walk home, pockets empty once more.
Yet a voice in your head sings,
"There's always tomorrow."

Jhudora, the Wicked One
By Waning

On the final day in the month of Collecting,
Only one refuses to spread the haunted pride.
Her name is Jhudora, the Wicked One.
Look there, in the shadows she doth hide.

The light faeries are nowhere to be seen,
Because it's said dark triumphs over the light.
It takes a mere whisper of her name to see,
Her reign truly causes great terror and fright.

It need not be the night of haunts to see her image,
For she exists to all who dare to explore.
Her throne lurks just past the lines of Faerieland,
She is quite near, do I dare tell you more?

She welcomes all who choose to visit,
But know her kindness is merely a mask.
Mundane and magical items she will demand,
And believe me she will demand, not ask.

A time limit is given to all of the foolish,
Though do not to be a moment late!
Her punishments are worse than her cackle,
Running away leaves for a better fate.

She is said to have agents everywhere,
But really, who could befriend such a foe?
Even Sloth would not dare to go up against her,
She has horrendous potions you know!

Please, my friend, do share my words,
Awareness is the key to her demise.
She has thrived too long off our pain and sadness,
We shall not tolerate any more of her devious lies!
