Cave of Wraiths

A dark groan pierces
The peace of a sleepy town,
Shadows consume day.

Dark Wraith rises tall,
Light swallowed in dark abyss,
Roar of terror bellows.

Last glimpse of bright light,
Warmth grows cold in the darkness,
Goodbye to known life.

Awake in darkness,
No sense of self, time, or life,
All alone in cave.

Cries break the silence,
A dull light shines through afar,
Steps echo from the light.

Warm faces come clear,
Brightened by the thrill of life,
Eager to rescue.

Free from the cold goo,
Free to move at last and live,
Rescued by the few.

Lost, in Hanso's Eyes

Being lost in a cave is never fun
(And even worse when Xandra's snapping at you.)
It gets quite hard to keep spirits up,
And find your way about too.

So many tunnels! It's quite a maze,
And so hard to find the right supplies,
Is that a stick on floor?
Oh wait, it's just Xandra's foot, guys.

And what about those trapped Neopets?
That odd substance has been stuck on all day,
I hope we can remove it all in good time;
I hope they'll end up okay.

But something else has been on my mind,
Something that makes my other problems a blur:
It's not about monsters or being lost,
No, not anything like that! It's about... her.

Brynn must be happy to see me, right?
Though in this darkness, "see" does not quite work,
But surely she knows I just want her safe,
While all these minions and wraiths lurk.

Save Our Faeries!

The faeries of Faerieland have been turned to stone!
We must now decide who it will be who must atone
for this heinous act against the most kind and true
of all of Neopia's pets, breeds, gangs, and crews.

Neopians, we must grow strong and pull together!
Think of all we lose if our ties to faeries are severed!
We lose not just Faerieland, but Blue Grundo Toy,
Wheel of Excitement, and the Agency that employs.

I don't know about you, but I certainly am missing
the fun I had every day from these activities!
So let us gather our force and stand strong behind
our heroes who fight for the truth of our kind.

If we support them and they can achieve success,
Faerieland will be saved and certainly not less --
the faeries who have give us much freely with love
will once again be free to enjoy life up above.

The Stone Pie

High above the water,
We travel to and fro,
To that flying cloud,
That the faeries do call home.

On that day,
The Faerie Festival began,
The evil powers of an unknown villain
Took the beloved faeries away.

We look around at our petrified friends,
And then we see what is the saddest,
A lone pie turned to stone,
In the Soup Faerie's hand.

So we will fight till the end,
Not only to find that villain,
But to free the Stone Pie,
And his delicious friends.

Purple Tendrils of Goo

Deep in the dark,
In the corners of the caves,
The purple tendrils
Ripple in waves.

The tendrils pulsate
And silently await
The next poor victim
To meet its fate.

Quivering tendrils
Creep and embrace
Any living creature
Stumbling in this place.

Undulating slowly,
They wrap themselves around
Another hapless Neopet
Who's fallen to the ground.

As Hanso goes exploring,
He finds each poor trapped pet
And manages to avoid the grip --
No goo has grabbed him yet.

Hanso must now learn
Which arm or leg to pull
And whisper to the goo,
So it will just hold still.

So slow is the process
That must be undertaken
To remove these purple tendrils
Or else all is forsaken.

Pull right arm, left leg next,
One step at a time
Moving very carefully
Gets rid of all the slime.

So beware when exploring
The caverns in the deep
Of purple gooey tendrils --
It's YOU they want to keep!
