FAERIE FESTIVAL SPECIAL

A Very Festive Faerie Day
by Indulgences

The halls are garlanded with blue,
With tinsel pink and gold.
No evil lurks these hallowed halls,
For none would be so bold.

It's Faerie Day, and Neopets
Of every shape and hue
Are here at Fyora's palace court
To give the queen her due!

They celebrate by holding hands.
They smile and burst in song.
They thank their Queen Fyora and
Their love is pure and strong!

They thank her for her gentle hand,
Her wisdom in all things,
For being someone good and just
Beyond imagining.

The Faerie Queen, she smiles and nods
And wipes a furtive tear.
This sweet exchange of love makes this
Her favorite time of year!

So, happy Faerie Festival,
And may your day be bright!
Fyora loves us, one and all,
So live life with delight!

The Night Of The Festival
by Chavo_guerrero

The music drifts from hill to hill,
An enchanting melody,
The sounds of Faeries having fun
And singing merrily.

Standing high in treetops
Or sitting on a roof,
You may catch sight of this magical night
If you really need some proof.

The faeries will have lanterns,
Hung from boughs up high,
Which glimmer in the starlight
As they spin and dance nearby.

They'll have cake and drinks to celebrate
Another year gone by,
And tell tales of when they lived in peace,
High up in the sky.

They'll be air and earth and light faeries,
fire, water, and dark,
All faeries from Neopia
Will be joining in this lark.

And magic will reign supreme this night
As they gather together in fun,
As they laugh and sing and dance about,
The night only just begun!

Faeries Festival can last all day
And late into the eve,
Each faerie having such a time,
Nobody wants to leave.

So, when the sky turns dark this night,
See if you can hear
The sounds of such a festival,
It could be far or near.

If you can creep up closely,
Until you can see their happy eyes,
They might just let you join right in;
Wouldn't that be a nice surprise?

The Pumpkin Faerie Is Here!
by Sugarypixiestix2

She arrives from a pumpkin patch,
wearing an ensemble made to match.
Always returning on autumn's eve,
with a magic only she can weave.

The pumpkins dance at her feet
as she strolls down the street.
Waving her wand the trees sway,
releasing fall's scented bouquet.

Carrying a satchel of candy corn,
she plays music on her Harphorn.
Neopians awake to her fair tune,
telling us fall will be here soon.

Something we all look forward to
as we bid our friend summer adieu.
Her timing is perfect and planned
for her annual trip to Faerieland.

Never wanting to miss their fest,
bringing with her gifts in a chest,
which include pies full of berries
for each of her sisterly faeries.

Though she may not be here long,
her presence is eternally strong.
The Pumpkin Faerie is treasured,
but by how much cannot be measured.

What Happened To That Fire Faerie?
by Dr_tomoe

Do you remember, long ago,
the old Mystery Island plot?
It was quite old, but not
as old as the Sacrificers spot.

A key player in this event
who caused quite the scene
was a hot-headed fire faerie
by the name of Eithne.

She seemed sweet on the surface
And looked out for everyone,
keeping them from a volcano
that burned hotter then the sun.

But later it was discovered
the truth of her scheme,
and that she was more like
The Darkest Faerie than Bree.

The plot was to free Moltenus
from his fiery volcano tomb,
that would destroy Mystery Island
amid several lava plumes.

But, the darkness was defeated
and the island was saved.
Yet Eithne had vanished
within the volcano caves.

Was she eaten by Moltenus?
Escaped with Tura-Kepek?
No one really knows, so
she might one day come back.

So, this Faerie Festival remember
that, while most faeries are kind,
some devious ones are out there,
not of the darkness kind.

Faerie Festival Fanatics
by Limo8

A special day to dance with glee,
With upcoming faerie mystery.
Fanatics coo with pure delight,
For this Faerie Festival's soon in sight!

A day to earn some quests galore;
Well, what are you waiting for?
Waiting up until the next morn,
If you get Delina, be sure to scorn!

Oh, look at that... Naia is visiting!
Sure to have everyone's 'pet glistening!
A new colour sure to come your way,
Make sure to visit them every single day!

I see another air faerie, oh dear!
She hands you the speed with glee, I fear!
A fire faerie is a wonderful thing,
When you get that strength, be sure to sing!

I see the water faerie, defense galore!
At least you'll be battle ready, for sure!
A festival that makes them cheer,
"We want to see Neopians every year!"

Be sure you're ready, item in hand,
Every year it sure is grand!
The Faerie Festival fanatics in tow,
The fanatics are hungry and rearing to go!

Haiku Of Water Faeries
by Silver_azalea

I like a bit of
Intellectual chatter
Every now and then.

So, often do I
Visit Faerieland to seek
My enlightened friends.

They are the water
Faeries, who love reading great
Amounts of fictions,

But also essays,
Tomes, and the occasional
Lengthy lexicon.

These faeries are quite
Skilled at the healing arts, and
Will heal injured 'pets.

Some do not like when
The ordinary ones give
Them a random quest;

They are displeased that
They did not receive it from
The Fountain Faerie,

Who can change your 'pet’s
Colour to several different,
Fantastic choices.

I, however, am
Not annoyed, and like the boost
In the defence stat.

Plus, it is not much
Trouble to go and buy a
Book for a kind soul.

Waiting On An FFQ
by Horsecrazyirishgirl

Every time I wander to Faerieland,
I can’t help but stare wistfully at
The beautiful, elusive Rainbow Pool and
Wonder: when will it ever be my turn?

Naia, The Fountain Faerie, has stunned
Many 'pets with giving them a quest.
One of her quests would be grand!
I’ve only been waiting for years...

Perhaps my time will soon be at hand,
Though what I’d do with her quest
I still have not dare planned,
Since I doubt I’ll be so blessed.

Occasionally I visit Naia offhand;
Perhaps she’ll take pity on me this time
And give me the quest I desire this one time.
If not, I’ll wander away
And claim to understand.

Casandia
by Lilahne_aluoki

Casandia means well
In her fumbling way,
To take care of Petpets
For, to her dismay,
Some are destructive
And some misbehave,
So she keeps in mind
The advice her queen gave:

"Air faerie Casandia,"
Queen Fyora said,
"Faerieland's overrun
With Hasees; we tread
With great caution
For they're underfoot.
I would not mind, if
They'd only stay put!

"Take them away
To some other land,
For their appetite
I can no longer stand!"
So, Casandia gathered
Every last Hasee;
Unfortunately, Casandia
Was a little bit clumsy!

A cloud is no place
To rest a great weight.
The Hasees fell through it,
As if it were fate.
The Petpets then plunged
To the ocean below.
Casandia tried to catch them,
But she was too slow!

On Mystery Island
The Petpets wound up.
Thanks to two clever Hasees,
On Doughnutfruit they supped.
They ate and they ate,
Faster and then faster,
Forcing Fyora to declare
An ecological disaster!

"Casandia!" Fyora cried,
"This truly will not do.
Collect the rampaging Hasees
And put them somewhere new!"
So, Casandia flew down
To the island far below,
To gather up the Hasees
That simply had to go!

She captured every Hasee
(She might have missed a few).
But, what to do with them?
She hadn't a single clue.
Before Queen Fyora
Could get her to stop,
Casandia left the Hasees
At the nearest Petpet shop!

That was but the first
Of Casandia's faux pas,
Transporting beloved Petpets
With hooves and fins and paws.
So, heed Fyora's advice,
Do not make this mistake:
A good Petpet sitter
Casandia doesn't make!

Healing Springs
by Ragecandybar

A peaceful brook babbles and flows
Through lush purple hills, fragrant as a rose.
The medicinal waters come from the earth;
One drop from this spring will heal any hurt.

Wounded warriors muster their strength
In order to journey to these magical banks.
The aquatic oasis can remedy all ills,
From Obelisk War brawlers
To a young 'pet with chills.

Upon the spring’s edge, a finned faerie basks,
Healing the sick is her most passionate task.
She is ever-sincere in her efforts to mend,
But the spells are not always
What she intends.

Some roll their eyes when her kind magic fails;
Just how can a snowball treat any ails?
In spite of the critics, the faerie still smiles;
The way to learn magic is by error and trial.

The faerie splashes up
A cool misty shroud
As she recalls the days
On that far away cloud...
Despite all that’s happened
Since Faerieland fell,
The springs ever-strive
To keep Neopia well.

The Friendly Water Faerie
by Botamius

Decades ago when I was young,
When I first craved adventure and risk,
I embarked on a voyage
I thought would be fun,
And departed with dreams wide and brisk.

Leaving Roo Island was not that easy;
That place had always been my home.
But the taste of the sea was much too breezy,
And it beckoned for me to roam.

I packed all the victuals
And supplies I could find,
But I still had no clue how long I'd be gone.
I had no specific destination in mind,
Though my hope -- for something great --
Started off strong.

I was finally ready to leave the sturdy ground,
Ready to explore that vast, titanic world
Where the sun and the moon
Are reflected all around,
Where sea serpents squirmed
And whirlpools swirled.

And so I sailed, and I sailed, for days and days,
Seeing nothing but water and rocks.
The fog crept in and created a haze,
And I thought of the safety of docks.

But I was too far away from the nearest land;
All I could do was drift with the flow.
It took some more time for me to understand
That this voyage was going to be slow.

By some cruel act of nature or simply ill luck,
The wind pushed me further toward emptiness.
I began to grow weary
From the way I was stuck
In what I called the "rut of deadliness."

And I stayed there,
Bored and pondering my fate:
How long until I'm back on a good path?
Or what if a storm struck, no matter the date,
Would I survive its aftermath?

So, I sat in my boat
And looked around at the blue;
It held nothing but a big dark void --
That is, until I reached down
And stuck my arm through,
And suddenly felt a stranger's hand,
A sensation I somehow enjoyed.

I peered down to see what it was:
a creature with pale, lavender skin
And golden hair.
She rose out of the water, and I had to pause
For her beauty lit up the whole air.

She told me she was a water faerie
And asked if I admired the sea.
I replied, "Yes, but it can be scary,"
And she responded, "It weighs down on me."

So, we continued talking for hours;
Wanderer to wanderer, soul to soul.
In that moment,
All time and space felt like ours,
And I realized: my mind, she unlocked;
My heart, she stole.
