A Week Of Celebrations!

Neopets's birthday is this week
and we are all filled with joy,
just like a kid in a candy shop
or one with a brand new toy!

And all this week the celebration
has been carrying on all day,
with new events and updates,
so let's examine them, I say!

The first was a small one
for daily doers all around,
when Grave Danger was updated
and a new NC tool was found.

New items and treasures await you
so you'd better act fast,
as the catacombs were finally 
put on Neovia's map.

The next was a massive update
of site themes and avatars,
as well as a group of backgrounds
to make a 'pet look like a star.

Wednesday came with another set
of old daily spots updated,
as locations new and old
had their prize pools inflated.

Yesterday brought up a cheer
For those who buy and sell,
as all the Neopian shop owners
would start to clear off their shelves.

No more buying out junk,
no more waiting for just one thing,
the shops would clear, new merch arrives,
the restockers thought this update was king!

Today we learn what the big surprise is
that ol' TNT has for us peeps.
Will it come out to a cheer?
Will it make the artists weep?

We'll find out soon, I just can't wait.
I can hardly handle the suspense.
But, for now, all we can do
is say Happy birthday, Neopets!

A Birthday Awakened

An undead hand arises from the soil
And, from her palm, bursts a confetti storm;
Firecrackers send explosive colors
Into the air; the dank night sky's transform'd

To something almost beautiful yet chilling.
Two twin Wockies gather shadows from 'round;
"It's time for celebration," Lanie says. 
Says Lillie, "Stars, skulls, and streamers abound."

Cemeteries fill with decoration;
The undead comply with their leaders' call.
"The day is near upon us," says Lanie
As more monsters get even more enthrall'd. 

At last comes the piece customary to
Each celebration hosted by the clan:
The cake so tall, so truthful, so yummy.
At last, come daybreak, the party began. 

There was much celebrating 'mongst them all:
Singing, dancing, food-fights -- it was all fun. 
"AP-HPY IBYDARTH!" rang Eliv's voice
As cake was down'd; a year till the next one.

Let’s not forget Altador Cup --
never will we able to get enough!

The Festival of Neggs each year,
such a grand event I hold so dear!
And the Games Master Challenge event
gives us so much diverting content!

So, this birthday, what’s planned for us?
It's surely going to send me delirious!
From fabulous birthday goodie bags
to grand new items for us to snag!

And, what’s this, a huge surprise!
What it will be we can only surmise.
I am sure it will be truly astounding
and surely get our hearts pounding!

We’ve all had so much enjoyment
with all the fun-filled involvement!

Not just a place to visit

Sometimes we complain
And expect a little more,
But honestly, TNT
Has stepped it up, that’s for sure!

In the past week,
With all of the Birthday cheer,
JumpStart has done more for Neopia
Than what has been done in years!

As happy as can be,

the site's longevity and success.

Fifteen years is no easy feat; I implore
you to consider Neopets's history,
starting at British dorms to Californian shores,
all the way up to our JumpStart family.

Who would have guessed in 1999
the globality of a Neopian reality?
The heart of Neopets is defined
by fifteen years of commonality:

We've lived through Neopian sprawl
and prevailed through many wars.
We've witnessed great lands fall
and immediately helped them reform.

We've joined teams, factions, forces,
and made acquaintances and friends.
We've battled and enrolled in training courses
and have had unforgettable experiences.

So... what type of gift do you give
to a site and staff that are all-giving?
Perhaps gratitude for how we play and live,
from now back to the very beginning!

The Month of storing has this in store:
from us all, we sincerely hope and wish
for happiness and fifteen years more!

Balloons and streamers flood the streets,
'pets clothe in birthday gear.

The celebration has begun,
the cakes have all been made.
Many come from far and wide,
in crowded, thick cascade.

They reminisce on years gone by,
appreciate the past,
but look ahead to future dreams
now approaching fast.

We’ve seen the fall of Faerieland.
War in Maraquan shoals.
Sailed boats to Mys’try isle,
gathered Moltara’s coals. 

From hours spent at Kau Korral,
vying for high score,
to streamlined future Wonderclaw,
so many to adore. 

Falling for April Fool’s jokes.
Yearly Daily Dare.
Yooyuball winning's sweat and tears,
an action-packed affair.

So, joined together, ‘pets do cheer,
excitements all amaze.
Neopia has made its way
through fifteen fun birthdays!

15th Day Of Storing, The Day Of Neopets's Birth

The birth of the site -- oh, happiest day!
The Grarrls all grin; the Chias all cheer!
The Petpets, from Ackos to Zebies, play
because they all know it comes once a year.

It's Neopets's birthday, a day of joy,
to celebrate the site that users love
and those who make items, like Draik Squirt Toy,
Cheese Skeith, and Bologna Pimento Glove.

We praise the makers of games and applaud
those who publish The Neopian Times;
developers and designers, thank you.
The coders are so good; they're paradigms.

This anniversary of excellence
is a good time to reflect on the work
that is needed for the site's brilliance.
We love Neopets for its every quirk.

Such a jubilant event spreads far and 
wide. The whole of Neopia revels,
Kreludor to Shenkuu to Faerieland,
to the Brightvale and Meridell castles.

It's true that even the Grumpy Old King
smiles, laughs, and joins the festivities.
All feel like they've been in the Healing Spring;
the day revives and stirs one like a breeze.

So, happy birthday, Neopets! One more
year has gone by. There've been so many fine
new features. It's all gone by like a blur.
To a year done right, like only you could!

A Walk Through The Years On The 15th Birthday

The first faeries are spotted.
The secret lab is discovered,
While above, at Virtupets, Sloth plotted.

Year Three is among us;
The Snowager roars his first icy blast.
The Lost Desert is not lost
As “Tatsu” becomes a 'pet of the past.

Punchbag Bob lets us battle
And the Fountain dries up.
NeoQuest is created;
Mr. Roboto wins the Krawk Cup!

At twenty million strong, we enter Year Four,
Reaching thirty million of us within a short time.
As Darigan battles Meridell, Draiks are born,
While the newest color for Chias is lime.

Year Five begins with a massive rebuilding,
While 'pets are given new looks.
We saved Mystery Island,
And the MSP Poogle is now in the books.

NeoQuest II is revealed as Year Six commences,
Jhudora and Illusen get their first celebrations.
We observe this web site’s fifth birthday
As Kadoaties wail; their initial starvations.

Year Seven marks when Viacom took over,
We solved the Curse of Maraqua 
And fished underwater.
Donna’s parting gifts 
Were the Xwee and the Ogrin,
We uncursed Qasala with Razul as the plotter.

In Year Eight we would find Altador,
The Haunted Woods would win the first Cup.
The chef in Shenkuu would leave us boggled;
Three years for the avatar to cook up!

The first Daily Dare in Year Nine
And the conversion of 'pets.
With zombie 'pets announced,
The dead no longer at rest!

Year Ten brought Key Quest,
In eleven, Moltara from the Ancients.
But we could only get a magma 'pet 
With great timing and patience.

The first Festival of Neggs
And then Faerieland crashing,
Year Twelve’s new features
Had us all feeling smashing.

And then came thirteen,
With the Krawk Island plot.
Habitarium became
One of our most-loved spots.

Year Fourteen was all of the usual gist,
Though stealthy 'pets went to the top of our list.

Fifteen gave us an Obelisk War,
With more fighting after 
Than we ever hoped for.  

And so we arrive at the current era,
Sixteen great years spent.
We remember the way that things used to be,
But look toward the future for only ascent.

Though we’re fewer in number,
We’re still here in heart.
Those of us who are left
Have high hopes for JumpStart.

So, on the site's fifteenth birthday,
Know that we are what it stands for.
Let’s hear it for us;
Here’s to many more.
