From Under a Bridge in Neovia

All day and night we walk along
the quiet, dusty road.
Nodding to the strangers we pass,
we like to keep to ourselves.

Ten years or so, who really knows
how long we've wandered here.
No driving goal, we soak in the glow
our toes imprinting sand.

Sometimes we wander the haunted woods,
looking for the ghosts
of others who have come and gone,
and yet we remain, behind the mist.

New faces come and go,
they change their names and their stories
while we sit by the wishing well and wonder
where the rainbow waters go.

I still think sometimes of my first friend here,
a pink Uni forgotten in the wind.
How we wandered the map long before
all the world was discovered and known.

And now from under a bridge in Neovia,
I gaze to the Kreludor moon,
and wonder how I grew so old so fast,
content just to be with you.

Clean up the water!

I head to the Cavern
To reel in some fish,
Or maybe find something
That could be a nice dish.

Maybe bread and butter?
The best fish combo?
Or maybe some seaweed
Which lives down below?

A cubefish who's glum
Or an Eyfish who sees?
A rainbow Madfish,
Or a Landfish who flees?

I'm just looking for food
On this adventure,
But instead I find something
That's odder than ever!

A stinky and rotten
Thing that I reel in.
There's words to describe it,
Where do I even begin?

It's mouldy, it's icky,
It's old and it's foul.
It's really disusing -
You can tell by my scowl.

Who did this? Who is it?
Who is that sinner?
Please clean up the water
So there's fish for our dinner.

I would really just like
Some fish to eat now,
Not dirty footwear, no!
That I won't allow!

The Strongest Opponent

I tremble in fear before the one
Their lifespan burns much brighter than sun
And as much as I will try to have fun
The match is over - they've already won. 

Seemingly invincible, but somewhat monotonous
I can't win the battle, the thought is preposterous 
For their health is so big it's arguably monstrous 
In such a small opponent, they truly define dominance

Rumour has it that they've never been destroyed
That they stand their invincible, staring blankly at the girls and boys
As they try to attack, their attempts are in vain
For this one is a god, and cannot feel pain.

What would you do against an opponent so strong? 
Would you just run away? Or would that be wrong?
Would you stand there and cower? Maybe even sob?
That's exactly what I'm doing, staring directly at Punchbag Bob.

My Favorite Faeries

Ever since I met my first faerie,
I’ve been an admirer and a fan.
While each faerie has her own strengths,
I have some favorites of the faerie clan.

First is the Faerie Queen, Fyora,
Who watches from her Hidden Tower.
She’s the leader of Faerieland,
And has seemingly infinite power.

I also like the Mira the Space Faerie,
Because her style is so fresh and new.
She’s clearly fun and confident;
Just look at her hair: it’s blue!

Aethia is the best to call on,
When you’re feeling weak and shy.
She’s the toughest Battle Faerie;
She’ll join any battle with a wild shriek.

I have a soft spot for Jhudora,
Even though she’s not all nice.
You can safely do her quests,
Just don’t take her advice.

My final favorite is the Soup Faerie.
Who provides poor Neopians with food.
Even though her life is solely about others,
You’ll never catch her in a bad mood.

This year for the Faerie Festival,
From good to bad and big to small…
No faerie will go forgotten,
As we’ll celebrate them all!
