The egg was abandoned
And there it did lay
Until it was found
One beautiful day
And on that day
The egg it did hatch
And a baby Shoyru
Was then born named Latch
It was very different
From all the other Shoyrus
It had no yellows or reds
or greens or blues
It was silver from bottom to top
Side to side
And the news of him
Spread far and wide
And that's how Shoyrus
Started to look like Latch
Because of a small silver egg
That happened to hatch

One day I'm walking through the snow.
Feeling I have no one.
No one to make me laugh or smile.
Of couse in my head
there are thoughts of denial.
I hear a small cry from under the snow.
And I wonder,
this is who my friend will be now? The snow?
The cry becomes a whimper.
Fading away under the snow.
I begin to dig unabatedly,
until I see something blue.
I find a little Kacheek,
trembling from the cold.
I do not ask how it got there,
but I do take it under my care.
I replenish its health.
He is well now.
A week has passed and he is still around.
Never leaving my side now.
Two days 'til Christmas, a day I regret.
But not this time, this time I won't pout,
