Faerie, Aisha, Scorchio, or Chia--
Only the best in all of Neopia.

Through the flowers the contestants are led,
To toss the Gormball above their heads.

Anyone's welcome to play a round,
But the best of the best will soon be found.

Anxiously waiting to catch the ball,
Hoping that it's not their turn to fall.

One by one, the losers get wet;
Winners begin to hope they are set.

A Chia and Grundo toss back the ball;
"Who will survive?" is wondered by all.

The crowd seems so tense, its silence surreal;
The players so nervous they're starting to reel.

The Grundo, he holds on cautiously, then throws;
The Chia, he catches it, and suddenly it blows!

"The Grundo's triumphant!"
The crowd starts to roar;
His family and friends race onto the floor.

The trophy stands gleaming before the victor,
While The Neopian Times snaps up a picture.

Another year's tournament comes to an end,
But the game will continue
With family and friends.

For here's the game that's best!

"Gormball is the game to play,"
Cries every faerie and Neopet.
Toss a ball of liquid fun,
And see who's happy or wet.

The Championship is here!
Everyone come and see!
Watch as eight bold challengers
Compete for victory.

Thyassa is the king so far;
This Chia knows his stuff.
Number one in all the land,
Defeating him is tough.

Next is sinister Brian,
A Scorchio with spunk.
Always hatching unfair plans
To make his opponents flunk.

Retiring from the stove,
Strong Gargarox is in!
With knife and fork in hand,
He hungers most to win!

From the farthest moon and star,
Farvin III appears.
He can hear the smallest boom
With the help of six long ears.

Lovely Ember comes to play--
The one and only faerie.
Although her sisters mocked her,
She still remains quite merry.

Zargrold the Cool is here;
A Grundo with lots of pride.
None can match his super speed,
Or his super laidback stride.

Ursula the Usul
Is both sweet and sassy.
Her throws are lightning quick,
But all the same, she's classy.

Last, not least, is Kevin.
He is player number eight.
This Korbat loves to play
(Although he's not that great).

So let the games begin!
And everyone is stoked
About who will end up winning,
And who will end up soaked!

The Gormball Champion

Is it luck,
or is it skill?
Or simply a matter of iron will?

You wait two seconds,
and toss the ball.
The stands are full of fans, enthralled.

The ball goes on
from player to player.
Ursula's hoping the Gormball won't spray her.

Then, finally a POP!
and, wet in the face,
the first is eliminated, full of disgrace.

After that blow,
the balls pop like bubbles.
Though you're still in it,
you think you're in trouble.

Finally it's two,
and you pass it around.
It pops on the other! Now you will be crowned!

You'll be in the paper,
so you smile, all set--
then the ball pops! In the picture, you're wet!

Next year you'll know,
should you win again:
first put down the ball, then put on the grin.
