Shadow Kougra
By Snowfire6392

Darkness more than shadows
Moving through the night,
Silence more than silence
Would give anyone a fright.

Fear is creeping through your heart,
Cutting through the dark,
You see a motion over there,
Fear has made its mark.

From shadows thicker than darkness,
Something solid does appear?
You can't make out the shape yet,
But it is coming near.

A head, two paws, a swishing tail,
Darker than the night,
Will it go back, will it attack,
Forcing you to fight?

You start to run, then you look back,
A Kougra does appear.
You run unknowing of its intentions
That it was YOU she feared!

Maraqua
By Knexor2

In the depths of the sea,
In the midst of nowhere,
Lies remains of a city
That once knew the air.

The inhabitants ranged
From the big to the small,
But when the place sank,
They were lost, one and all.

It was thought to be gone,
And completely forlorn,
But rumor has come
That new species were born.

In the midst of the sea,
Where Maraqua now dwells,
There are now strange new creatures
Living under the swells.

Though living in water,
They're strangely well-known,
For the species out there
Are like those back at home.

So if, in the ocean,
Strange creatures you see,
Remember Maraqua
In the depths of the sea.

Ye Olde Coffee Shop
By Extreme_fj0rd

There's a cup of breakfast tea
To start your day off right,
And mint tea, so sublime,
To send you off to bed at night.

We've got purple juppie java
And many other things,
The name's the Coffee Shop,
In your mind a bell might ring.

Ye Olde Coffee Shop's a pleasant place
Where Neopets abound,
Owners, too, and writers,
There's good cheer all around.

House blend with cream
Might be your sort of drink
As you scribble down your stories
Or simply sit and think.

Zeenana cappucino's known to us
As a rather nice surprise,
But unless you fancy fruit in your coffee,
To pass this by you'd be advised.

Snowberry tea is quite delectable,
But technically it can't be
When the thing that gives it flavour
Is melting into your tea.

Sourmelon brew is good
For a nice, hot summer's day
But if it's depths of winter,
With your coffee you should stay.

But coffee's not the only thing
They serve at this Coffee Shop;
No, here you'll find pastries
You can eat until you drop.

Tigersquash buns are abundant,
Iced ones and cakes alike,
Snowberry delight's another
That we're sure you'll like.

Ice cream they also sell,
Tigersquash and zeenana,
Though if you're picky, you might want
To just bring your own banana.

There's much more at this Coffee Shop,
That's hardly half of all,
Come down to the Catacombs and visit us,
We're sure you'll have a ball!

A Water Faerie's Charm
By Aussiegurl_888

Right after midnight,
Before the dawn wakes,
A faerie sings alone
By the rivers and lakes.

Breaking the silence,
She calls in the night.
Such a melodious cry
For hope and delight.

She longs to be noticed,
Respected and known,
Yet worry holds her back;
Her fears she won't condone.

Little does she know
That some hear her song.
Its charm brings healing
And make listeners strong.

Regretfully unaware,
She'll sing to the sky,
Hoping for strength
And the power to try.

Song of Hannah
By Schefflera

Who is this in frozen cold,
Dashing fast and creeping slow?
Listen, and you soon will know;
Listen as her tale unfolds.

Hannah's spirits once were low;
Waitressing was not much fun.
Then she heard of treasure won --
Look out now and watch her go!

Out into the caves she's run,
Full of terrors, full of traps --
Pirates are such tricky chaps!
Still she means to be the one.

Swiftly swim where water laps,
Slip away where monsters churn.
Save your life: be sure to learn,
Arrows fly and Pawkeets flap.

Duck and dodge and weave and turn!
Find a stick of dynamite,
Kick it hard and set alight,
Step aside and watch it burn!

Run and crawl for treasure bright,
Carefully, or pay the price!
Skill means wealth found in a trice --
Steal from thieves throughout the night.

Pirate caves are very nice
Full of gems and full of gold.
When at last they do grow old,
Hannah's off to caves of ice!
