The Yooyu rises in the air,
Feet thumping against ground,
Bodies running into the fray.

Flashing colors as the players
Pass the ball and maneuver.

Who Will Prevail This Year?

Every year in Neopia,
The cup comes once again.
All the teams arrive in Altador,
One will leave champion.

"Team Tyrannia is looking good,"
Whispers one or two,
But with Gruslens running all around,
Can they manage to pull through?

And those cheering for Mystery Island?
A few changes are in store.
A rumor of a retirement,
Will they be able to score?

What about Team Faerieland,
Whom recently were grounded;
Can they pull off a victory?
(I wouldn't be astounded.)

Then there are those Kikos,
From their little Kiko Lake.
Even though they may be small
They make the others quake!

"Is Coco Metrone alright?"
Wondered those in Kreludor.
"We won't disappoint our fans,"
Teammate Zenor Kevix swore.

You’d think the team of Altador
Would be best by default.
But 17th in last year’s games,
Do they dare to make an assault?

Brightville, oh that Brightville,
Their scholars all abound.
With all their strategies in play,
A good one should be found.

Perhaps even the scariest,
In and off the field,
Is captained by Layton Vickles,
Beware of Darigan Citadel.

Who won the first Altador Cup?
Well, that would be Haunted Woods.
Even if they haven’t placed as high,
This year they certainly could.

One of the most consistent teams,
Krawk Island is sure to do well.
With Feldon Collibridge and Garven Hale,
They're extremely versatile.

Fans of the Lost Desert
Are still in a bit of a daze.
Coming in 13th last year,
They certainly failed to amaze.

One of the best at playing Yooyuball,
Shenkuu is shining bright.
Mirsha Grelinek swears they're doing great,
And won’t give up without a fight.

Maraqua, as we all know,
Has been improving throughout the years,
Is this their chance to show their skill,
Come home to jeers or cheers?

Expect to see the blue and red
Shield higher in the pack.
Meridell has been training hard,
Waiting to make the attack.

Um... what to say about this team,
Only recently formed and playing?
Maybe hoping is best for Moltarans alike,
Although it can be rather dismaying.

"Ready for Roo Island?"
Is the question Rooligans ask.
Their Yooyuball and scoring skills,
Will make beating them quite the task.

This team has lots of heart,
Even with the small fan base.
Doing well with all they’ve got,
Terror Mountain deserves to place.

The only words to describe the players,
Of Virtupets were amazing and on fire.
But with all the talent of the rest,
They must have the most desire.

The long awaited day has come,
It’s time to make your choice,
Get ready for some Slushie Slinger,
Prepare to MAKE SOME NOISE!

Well, I try to write bias-free.
But I smile, gazing at the lunar moon,
