NEOPETS 4TH BIRTHDAY SPECIAL

A Neopets Ode

I logged into Neopets one day, gloomy and tired.
My pet was waiting for me, ecstatic and wired.
I ignored him, but on he kept talking,
Until finally I listened and ceased all my walking.

He kept saying things
Like "balloons" and "celebration."
"Ash, what are you talking about?" I said,
trying to make real conversation.
"It's a party, to celebrate Neopia!" he replied.
At this wonderful news, with joy I nearly cried!

"Why didn't you tell me before?!"
I said enthusiastically.
"Perhaps you weren't listening,"
Ash replied sarcastically.
I ignored his rudeness, and hurried my pace,
"What are we going to do?" he asked,
excitement on his face.

After I listed the things he needed to get,
He bounced off on his tail without a fret.
I sat at my desk and thought for a while,
I decided on something, and started with a smile.

When Ash came back, I was finished writing
He arrived with the items, it was getting exciting.
I sat him down and told him my plan,
He smiled and nodded, and then we began.

We got all the food ready and frosted the cake
(It's a good thing I didn't get Blumaroo steak).
The balloons we filled with helium
Until they went up,
And for Adam, I poured borovan into a cup.

When we were finished, we admired our creation,
Our house was festive and full of decoration.

And of this happy story,
That might have been the end,
But as you probably know, it isn't my friend,
For you see I wrote
An Ode to Neopets everywhere,
"Where is it?" You ask, beginning to stare.

It's right here in front of you;
You're reading it now.

                                       Neopets is
                                    4 years old!
                                There's 4 cliffs
                            in the cold! My Ai-
                       sha's humble and bold.
                  With 4 ears       standing
               afold. Look          up in the
           sky! There's            4 Pterii
        that fly. As               they float
    by,  4  years  pass,  oh  my!  Here's  4
  neggs on  a  plate. From  4 cooks  that
  create.   There's   4   Lennies  out  late
                                Neopets  is
                               4,  and  it's
                               just  great!

Happy Birthday Neopets

Saiorono flies through the air,
Waving a bright balloon
And blowing a birthday trumpet
In the face of Kanoroku
Who is sitting in the grass,
Wearing a party hat
Although he doesn't look
Too happy about that.

The Shoyru lands on the ground
Next to the blue Lupe
And blows in his trumpet again,
While he sings a birthday song.
Kanoroku asks Saiorono
To stop blowing in his face
But the Shoyru thinks that
At trumpeting, he's an ace.

Finally, the trumpet halts,
Much to Kanoroku's delight
And the two Neopets turn on the lights
To show you how they've decorated
For this great day
Then, they shout, "Happy Birthday!"

The trumpeting begins all over again
But Kanoroku puts the noise to an end.
With one quick swoop of his blue claws
Kanoroku swats the trumpet
Out of Saiorono's paws.

"Hey, give that back," shouts the Shoyru
As he picks up his horn and blows in it again
Right in Kanoroku's face, just to make him mad.
With an angry snarl,
Kanoroku slaps his paws over his ears
As Saiorono celebrates Neopets's fourth year.

Happy birthday, Neopets
From the gentle Aisha to the Krawks that lurk!
Happy birthday from Sai and Roku
(Although Saiorono did most of the work).

To the mini world of Kiko Lake.
New places to explore,
New friends to make.

From a handful of pets,
To petpetpets like Cooties.
From the "ugly" first pets,
To fully fledged beauties.

From the in-beta Battledome,
To the Meridell war.
From 1000NP being rich,
To 2000 being poor!

From the pets we've had,
From the accounts we've lost.
We've had a rich past,
Fun at no cost.

From Sloth to Darigan,
With good comes bad.
Neopia's always come through,
What times we had!

From Faeries to poems,
From snow to sand.
There's much more to come,
From Neopia's land.

From the first spark,
In the creators' brains.
To a billion dollar company,
With cards and platform games!

I am an old Neopets player,
Who helped this site grow.
Once upon a time I came,
And I will never go.
