PEOPHIN DAY SPECIAL

Nadia, The Peophin of Love
By Songful

Under waters fair and free,
Where many creatures roam,
Dwells a deity unique,
The sea her only home.

Her name escapes no story,
Of her the faeries sing;
Nadia! Her locks of gold--
So sweetly the chords ring!

Nadia, the splendid majesty
Of myths and tales long gone;
The beauty of the breaking waves
That seep into the dawn.

Her eyes as stark as crystals--
Majestic golden pools;
The gaze that holds the hardest heart,
Sheen as bright as jewels.

Nadia! On waves she floats
With grace unspoken of;
Bringing harmony in lore,
Nadia: the ever-lingering Love.

Peophins
By Peterpuffin1

The sea is bare, the time is right,
The Peophins will swim tonight.
The moon is full, the stars will shine,
They dance upon the deep, blue brine.
Hark! The mellow whinny-calls!
Loud it grows as sun does fall!
They near the shore, they see the beach,
Give a jump, then out they reach!

The water's calm, the clouds have fled,
The Peophins keep steady head.
Their hooves splash through the gentle waves,
Great, majestic, and untamed.
Peophins look to the stars so high,
Unaltered in the empty sky.
Their eyes gleam faithfuly with pride,
And to the shore, the sea they ride.

The night is quiet, the air is right,
The Peophins have swam tonight.
Their time is up, they're none the wise
And turn home with a silent prize.

Rhime of the Peophin Warrior
By Archangellight

Ancient seamen tell a story
Of a Peophin born of wrath.
Forever hunting his liquid quarry,
Through the tides of his warpath!

Behold! A steed of fiercest might!
Trampling all its path should meet!
In the blackest seas of night!
Woe, great foes in aqua defeat!

The Peophin warrior with mighty fins,
And a tail of awesome strength,
Churns the stormy seas within
With his steel-like flipper's length!

Iron heals of cloven fury,
Rampage ships upon the waves!
And causes old mariners to worry,
Sailing the seas he enslaves.

Awakening
By Cherrychocchip

As the winter moon surrenders,
Dawn rises on the lake
To a serenade of birdsong,
To watch the ripples break.

A streamlined skin of current
Carries as the breeze
Knocks against the surface
Before, silently, it flees.

A darkened eye stares upwards,
Gleaming, emerald bright,
As it blinks and scans the waters,
Catching the gloomy light.

A host of others join it,
The pupils dark within,
Surrounded by dull colours,
Set in shadowed skin.

A movement flickers down below,
One body starts to swarm
Right up to break the waters,
To feel this sunlight warm.

The waves rise higher, faster,
Until finally they break.
The creature leaps in glittering splendour:
The Peophin awakes.

Odyssey Underway
By Aliengem118

"If thy heart is pure and thy intentions true,
A mystical steed shall we bestow upon you.
Blessed with powers of water and fire is he
Who roams the five seas unbridled and free.
No mortal peril can hinder his stride,
For courage within him does surely abide.
If thy quest is noble of this stallion's feats,
Then Daedelon you will soon meet."

Daedelon?
Twin faeries appeared to me in a vivid dream.
Their tongues singing such name.
What of this Daedelon they speak?
Is he the next answer I must seek?

Across the miles--
Overcoming the odds with my every step,
Only to learn my deeds were in vain!
Tumultuous trials have I
Been forced to overcome,
Is a hero's plight ever done?

How I long for my legend
To find a place in the pages of lore--
But does this humble heart hold
The honor to tame this knightly steed?
I must continue without pause!
Hark, do my eyes deceive,
Or is that fire erupting
From the waves I do perceive?

Can it be?
Has fate rewarded me with its favor?
It has!
From the depths of the water does arrive
The very creature these faeries have contrived!

Together I may finally have
My moment in the sun--
At last, the true journey has begun!
