Ride of the Nightsteed
By Sheshrrg

By day he stands by desert pool,
He's drinking in the sun.
His blue coat shines, his gold horn gleams,
His legs are posed to run.

But as the sun sinks to the sand
A frightning change takes place.
With flying mane and screaming cry,
The Uni changes face.

His eyes glow red, his mane is black,
His teeth are gleaming white.
And anyone he comes across
Is sure to get a fright.

He runs across the sun baked dunes,
His hooves a blur of sand.
His horrid form brings terror to
All creatures in the land.

He leaps and twists through ancient tombs
As flames rise to the skies.
His maddened dance of age old rage
Is timed to eerie sighs.

The sighs are of those long gone souls
That dwell within the tomb.
Their haunting cries warn wandering pets
Of their aproaching doom.

The Uni's dance gets faster as
He calls to his old friend.
And from the tombs foul Jazan comes
The nightsteed's rage to mend.

He alone can stand beside
This troubled soul and live.
For they are alike and different to,
With each friendship to give.

Together they will stay there,
In the tombs forevermore.
Jazan plotting, and the Uni
Dancing at his door.

Meridell
By Cleverdoggy

Land of the rolling plains,
Of simple times gone by,
Of Ixi bold and Wocky brave,
And Yurble, sweet and shy.

A place of peace and harmony,
Of unity and pride,
A place of worries nevermore,
And friends on either side.

A land of games and fun for all
Where happiness abounds,
A happy place of flowered fields,
And joyful children's sounds

With all these things we can describe
Our favorite land so well,
No other name can fit the place;
It must be Meridell.

Atop Terror Mountain
By Ikea_sale

A silhouette against
the dreary snowflake-spattered sky,
a rocky snow-capped wonder,
rising up so high.
It casts a mighty shadow
right across the icy land;
like a king watching his kingdom,
so proud and tall it stands

Teeter on the highest summit,
balance on the ledge,
feel the blustering wind about you,
peer over the edge.

Beneath its jagged precipices
buried in the clouds,
just like a map rolls out the land,
which its shadow shrouds
In the distance stretches out
the undulating sea;
all around it the air drops
into minus degrees.

Teeter on the highest summit,
balance on the ledge,
feel the blustering wind about you,
peer over the edge.

Body freezing, fingers stiffening,
breath turning to mist;
the frozen claws of the wind
never cease to persist.
This barren snowy landscape
is not for the weak of heart;
yet in all of its beauty
it could be a work of art.

Teeter on the higher summit,
balance on the ledge,
feel the blustering wind about you,
peer over the edge.

Kanrik's Night
By Natasha_nguyen

At night the darkness falls
Without even a lonely Petpet's call.
Nowhere are the stars so bright,
Something darker moves tonight.

A long ear, a whisper too,
He will reach his target soon.
Creeps the figure oh so dark,
His silence is his famous mark.

His paws are quick, his steps are soft
No one knows he's there quite oft.
For he is the greatest of the worst,
In the guild he's always first.

Not one notices this skilled thief
His robberies are always swift and brief.
A lock is never slowly passed
He's known to pick them very fast.

You never know where he will strike
He has robbed rich and poor alike.
So when coin's gone, don't have a fright;
You've been targeted on Kanrik's night!

The Dancer
By Songful

In the gray lights of winter
Through the flakes of first snow -
Soft laughter, loose shadows
Past the bitter cold flow.

And in the long harvest
With slow days ahead -
Gold sunlight, bright traces
Through passing mirth spread.

Still in the lush springtime
With the first flowers bright -
Light whispers, lush secrets
The mild winds incite.

And when the calm evenings
Again come to call -
Clear voices, faint jingles
From the starry skies fall.

And if sleep surpasses
The night's furtive guile -
A hushed song, fair bell cries
Hold the stars in a smile.
