The Kougra's Storm
By Wintermint_1012

Prowls in dark like midnight dream
Among the clouds like gold does sheen
The eyes of creature fierce and bold
Of lore and legend life unfold

Chilling roar like Thunder's boom
Amount the stars, his reign assume
Mane like silken rain does flow
In rhythmic beat it pounds below

His eyes, like flash, astound the night
Like lightning in the storm's recite
And after great and solid show,
Away to rest, the Kougra goes

While he rests the sun does gleam
Upon the tendrils unfolds a scheme
That master Kougra did employ
To where the storm reveals great joy

For when he wakes the job is done
The Kougra's storm's again outdone
For once the fervid storm has passed
The blossoms come to bloom at last

Aisha in the Rain
By Cats9723

Saw the lonely Aisha
Singing in the rain
The words a broken chorus
The tone a sad refrain.

Of days gone by
Of time flown fast
Of tainted memories
And bittersweet past.

"They left," the Aisha says,
Pointing to the skies,
Gazing at you, with
Such melancholy eyes.

"Where's your family, young one?"
Reply, "Up among the clouds..."
And with her eyes, says things:
Things not said aloud.

"They had wings, and I had not,
And then they flew away,
My playmates left me then
So never shall I play."

And then the rain starts pouring
Falling sky like salt
And the lonely Aisha hangs her head
And says, "It's all my fault."

You open your umbrella
And then you wave good-bye
Promise, "I'll come back later,"
The Aisha starts to cry.

And never again shall you see
The Aisha in the rain
Though you search near and far,
And scan the grassy plains.

In Victory, a Loss
By Panril

This day is joyous as we celebrate
An army most esteemed.
They say a battle fiercer,
A warrior never dreamed.

Yet those days were treacherous;
They fought to save a land of sun.
We have nothing but their stories
When all is said and done

Oh Tyrannia of dry heat and plains,
Carved, you were, from ice;
None then could have predicted
So deep and utter a price.

May we, who live so freely
Never forget the slain.
Lives were given; let us remember
Our loss, yet still, our gain.

Truthfully, we cannot know
The fear of front line combat.
The glint of steel and battle roar
Is nothing to be laughed at.

For those who struggled with tooth and nail
When sword misplaced, with claw -
May your daring deeds be carried proudly
With us forevermore.

Lutari Lunch
By Phoenixlyd10012

The warm sea whispers to the sand,
The smiling sun shines down,
A sleepy eye is peeled open,
A content head peers round.

A dazzling coat of pure fresh white,
Silky amber belly,
The pink tongue licks a jet black claw,br> Of fresh fish, raw and smelly.

Hibiscus propped upon his head,
His nose catches on a scent,
He dives into the aqua sea,
His streamlined body bent.

Swimming, twisting, through the waves,
To catch his mid-noon snack,
The island Lutari succeeds,
And munching loud, swims back.

A dozing creature on the rock,
A rounded, plump full belly,
A small lick rids the final sign
Of fresh fish, raw and smelly...

Maraquan Whirlwind
By Elisenhower

The storms came at night.

The trees swirled their heads to the left
And creaked to the right
As the moaning wind roared with fury
Screaming, angry, fierce as a newborn Hissi
Filthy white foam bubbles that clung to the air
Whipping the sea to a state of agitation
That sent brittle sand ripping off the shores
In brown and red walls that slammed
Into the fragile shore huts that collapsed
Into echoing caves, pockets drowned in dense sand
Settling, powdered, into crevices of the land
Then the waves came, beating into the island
Like the waterfalls of the southwest faerie kingdom
Silver flashes lit the confusion and terror
Cackling mercilessly with evil and hatred

Then it stopped.

Silence etched itself into time briefly
Nothing, nothing, nothing left.
Maraqua, Maraqua,
O your former glory!
