TUSKANINNY DAY SPECIAL

The Slushie Server
By Anjie

Demanding voices rise up high,
Complaints and orders call.
The waitress keeping calm and quick,
Serene within this squall.
Back and forth does waitress dart,
A Slushie in each fin.
Taking orders with a smile,
Serving with a grin.

Tuskaninny's thankless work,
All done for little pay.
Yet she's there to serve and wait,
Sling Slushies, every day.
Patient as the crowd demands,
She'll move from wall to wall.
Dishing out each coloured drink,
To meet each rowdy call.

Pink drink here and green one too,
She moves to clean up fast.
Customers all come and go,
As waitress whizzes past!
The toughest job around, it's true!
And yet it must be done.
End of day, time to relax,
Kick back and have some fun.

Swim from the Heart
By Mrspersaud

When I see them they smile.
Gently, they beckon me forth.
I am lowered in the sea,
A mix of bubble and froth.

Then I see them.
They come from every direction.
Flipping and dipping,
Laughing with mirth.

Swim like the wind, Tuskaninnies!
Your radiant species racing to and fro.
Swim free, Tuskaninnies!
You will swerve around every curve.

Then it is time to go.
They wash me upon the shore.
I watch as they leap, and jump.
Then dive as they swim away.

I wonder if it was all a dream
Then in the early morn,
I hear their bellowing cries.

I race out of bed,
See them again,
Laughing, leaping, diving, chasing.

Swim like the wind,
Swim as free as you can be,
Swim from the heart, Tuskaninnies.

Timmy the Tuskaninny's Tale!
By Anjie

Tension could be split in two
Within the crowded room.
Cards in hand the players sit
And plot each other's doom.
Amongst the group a rotund form,
His hand clutched tight in fin.
Timmy doesn't come to play,
He only stays to win.

Intimidation is the key,
Appearance rather tough.
Spiky hair and ripped t-shirt,
Make Timmy seem quite rough!
A bolt through tail tops it off,
Of look, he's rather proud.
It works within this game of cheat,
Where rule-breaking's aloud!

With smirk in place he'll grab a card,
And place down one or two.
Does he lie or tell the truth?
To guess, that's up to you.
One might say he tries too hard
To be cool and fit in.
Why should he care if cash is his?
He's only here to win!

It's true, he is no Brucey B,
He lacks those brains and wit.
But place is his at table's side,
And proudly shall he sit!
He might be young, and yet his name,
Is spreading, near and far.
Little Tuskaninny so tough,
A Cheating, rising star!

Petpet Cannonball
By _Razcalz_

Krawk Island buzzing with activity,
Pirates gathered on the wharf.
'Tis time for cannon-training!
But the cannonballs are gone, thieves have fled.
Cap'n Pucebeard rises above the complaining,
Alas, Petpets are to be used instead.

The pirate Blumaroo steps up,
Trembling Petpet fit into the cannon.
And up in the air goes his little Faellie,
"Overshot!" the Captain shouts.
Poor Faellie falls thump on its belly,
Blumaroo scuttles off with many pouts.

Next up is the Tuskaninny corsair,
Who takes most careful aim.
Angelpuss tumbles in a perfect arc,
Through the barrel with a swish.
Petpet flies away, graceful as a lark,
Corsair's tail thwacks, much like a fish.

Finally, the crowd's favourite arrives,
The notorious Krawk buccaneer!
Confident, he swaggers forth,
Fires away, but his Snowbunny falls short.
And lands on its tail (poor thing must be sore);
Disappointment echoes through the port.
And so it went all afternoon,
Until ol' Cap'n Pucebeard stood up.
"That's enough for today, me lads!" he says.
The pirates wander off to play
Some Deckball, a bit of gambling -- and oh, yes,
They're off to prepare for more training next day!

So remember, when you visit Krawk Island,
Whether it's for an Academy course,
the Smuggler's Cove, a peek at the Petpet stall, Be sure to pass by the harbour
For a game of Petpet Cannonball!

Glassed Wonders
By Wizsard

I sit in the yellow vessel,
The glass brightens in the lights.
The coral below makes everyone think,
"Wow -- what a beautiful sight!"

The green benches burn with sunlight,
As the metal gathers heat.
But why should anyone sit on the chair,
When the glass floor is such a treat?

When I look up toward the light,
I see the blanket roof blow up and down.
The orange speckles make me smile,
There's never any frown.

The Koi and Flotsam swim up to us,
And I see the Jetsam pout.
The Peophin and Tuskaninny swim up to the glass,
And press against it with their snouts.

An underwater city lies,
Underneath the sheet of glass.
The underwater rooftops,
Shine like brand-new brass.

The pebbles glitter at night time;
And the Kikos rush me off the ship.
I've been here all day,
And I've been enjoying my long trip.

So many wonders lie on a boat,
That lives in Kiko Lake.
"Why don't you ride on the Glass-Bottomed Boat?"
I say, "For goodness sake!"
