In Anticipation Of The Altador Cup
by Sailorlunacat
Moltara's hot, that's for sure,
Their players' moves and outfits lure
Followers into their flock
Like Señormalo and all who rock.
Sleek and sure, the Virtupets Team
Arms raised in a triumphant gleam
The shiny robots and Sloth fans dream
Of winning and then being mean
(Or, at least snarkie) to the losing teams.
I'm getting chills, it must be fear --
The Terror Mountain champ is here,
Dragona, idol of the mount,
Yooyuball padding on her frame and
Mismatched socks inside her mouth.
Mystery Island you debate,
Your chosen player is Twitterpate,
Perhaps the coconuts are too brown,
Those giant tiki masks weigh you down.
Not in the clouds, but in the trees
The new Faerieland rests, if you please,
Has faeritastic heavenly things
Like Pie and awesome Yooyuball teams.
Not Lost, but won, the Desert cheers,
Maybe after all these years,
Kid Hawk will give them victory,
Or might if he had a cool goatee.
Team Meridell, don't let us down,
You want to win, you'll take the crown,
If Breik wants you to win you can!
Too bad he's only got two hands.
With more bounce than 10 Blu on springs
From the land of jesters, counts, and kings
The Roo Island champ is fantastic,
You may hop and cheer for her... Socktastic.
Brightvale, Brightvale, the shining land,
Smart and fit and good with a plan
Comastar will do them proud we feel
She's the star on their flag
And not a coma on their field.
Tyrannia not left in the dust,
Not just history but with the rest of us.
Their champion Lornadesparow --
A daunting mammoth task, for sure
But they'll evolve to bring other teams' sorrow!
Out of this world you say?
Not spacey, they all play ok,
Team Kreludor and Undutchable
His skills are what they call
Without equal.
The pirates of Krawk Island,
Who all are tough and strong,
And seem to think they can do no wrong,
Have chosen dear Viola
And hope she brings the big payola.
Regal and dignified, of course,
Altador had no remorse,
They choose the sweetest one of ours,
That's who they have, El Picklesaur.
Unless he's the dillest.
Kiko Lake, there's no mistake,
Will do their best this year.
Let's hope that Mr. Insane will play
And not end up with a head bandage
Or any tears.
On misty mountain there are
Practice rounds of Shenkuu Yooyuball,
Yet Bancha Ninja makes no sound
Just silently waits to conquer all.
To play and breathe under the waves,
It's not so strange for Jimmy James,
Team Maraqua you hold a special place
in our hearts, and... well, underwater.
Darigan Citadel player Night Owl
Thinks it's a hoot (the pun's a foul)
To play for the most evil team,
With the best color-matching scheme.
Not even spooks can quell the fun
For Haunted Woods player DJ Skellington
Bump in the night, or a big bad "boo!"
You should be scared! I would be, too.

I Love Plumpy
by Rielcz
Plumpy is amazing, if you will see
He's cool in almost every respect
From napping to purring to philosophy
His closer details, though, let us inspect
Plumpy is old and white and loves eating
His feeding schedule is a conundrum!
Even Pet Species days affect his feeding,
He really loves cake, so please give him some
Plumpy's never dirty, despite the season
If you give him clay, he would stare at it
Plumpy turns to snow for no reason
His halo is shiny -- mustache wax to fit
Plumpy likes bacon, he's quick to take
If he was a sphere, a radius of ten
Polka dotted frosted bacon filled cake?
Anyway, Plumpy is a good friend
I love Plumpy.
Yes, I love Plumpy.

Toe Nails In My Soup And Petpets In My Pie
by Franranan
One toe nail, two toe nails,
Now that is, oh... this is just wrong!
Why are there so many toe nails in my soup?
They certainly don’t belong!
What chef thought of this revolting concoction?
If one could call it that, it’s more like a toxin!
I am sick of all this gross food
And it’s no better in the Haunted Woods
You can find Jellied Eyeballs
And almost gummy rats,
Sun Dried Techo Claws
And oozy gooey brain wraps!
Oh, I could just die!
I gag a little every time
I think of a Petpet-filled Octornapie!
There, in the Haunted Woods,
If you want a treat they feed you a trick
Oh no, excuse me...
I had Roast Tentacle for breakfast
And I think I’m going to be sick...

Faerie Walein
by Chavo_guerrero
What a pretty sight to see,
A Faerie Walein in the sky.
See it flap its lovely wings,
And glide along so high.
A Petpet that was meant to swim
Has taken to the air,
And if you spend time looking up
You might just see one there.
With its delicate pink colour
And handsome, bright blue lines,
This gorgeous little creature
Is a sign of changing times.
For, if a Petpet like a Walein
Can suddenly fly free;
If he can grow some faerie wings,
Why, then, shouldn't we?
And we can join the Petpets
That circle up above,
And have a Faerie Walein of our own,
Which we can give our love.

To Love The Outsider
by Stamberg
My feet sink in the muck and I cling to the 'sill
The thought of a Greeble's tongue
As it snatches a fly
Beside me, making me rather ill.
But I cannot look away
As I admire, through the window,
The fair lady -- hair as green as the spring --
Her lips pursed tight as a bow.
The stars of Sophie’s eyes
Search the ancient trunk for ingredients
To feed to the Droolik, no doubt,
Who hovered above, hungry and tense.
Sophie tosses a Glaring Eye Wrap in the air
And the creature is quick to catch it.
The green light of the swamp
Catches her long, flowing hair,
The stew behind her rumbling as it sits.
The 'pedia says so little about why she is here
Just ten years ago she was Neovian, revered.
Now I can assume
She has only the hat to remind her
On which plants are growing,
What I'd give to be that near.
Could she have been banished?
Could she be alone?
I thought, but could not stifle the gasp
For, into the stew, fair Sophie threw
A precious, rare codestone.
My heart stopped for a moment;
The Ixi looked my way.
I hugged the wall, wondering if she'd seen.
But my image was forever lost to her eyes
That sparkled, mysterious and green.
I’ve worn out my welcome -- that much is clear.
I run away from the cottage,
But take one last look at her.
She may never know
Just how dear she is to me,
My precious, oblivious Swamp Witch Sophie.
