There's so many dolls

that this once-a-year convention
is as good as it gets.

The First Usuki

its eyes softly wander around,
smiling under the gentle light,
never showing a slight frown.

The colors are fading away
and the fabric wearing out,
but its value is immutable
without a shadow of doubt.

Even after the many years
it still stands in plain sight,
holding its value even
through the stormy night.

Even though its owner
matures with every day,
on the simple oak desk
is its eternal place to stay.

Twelve Months Of Lawyerbot Loitering

In January,
I saw Lawyerbot
Huddled beside Usukiland.
His shivers sounded like the clinking of tin cans
From a breeze as harsh as a hundred fans.

In February
He was still there,
Still shivering and cold.
I shook my head at his sight,
But continued on
And wished him a good night.

In March,
There he was yet again.
I tried not to stare,
With spots of rust beginning to form
He was looking worse for wear.

The months continued on,
And he never moved from that spot,
Which isn't so good for a metal robot.

I knew what he was doing,
He does it every year,
Always the first in line to buy
The Usukis he finds so dear.

Finally, in August, when Usukicon had come,
His joints were rusted stiff.
He was unable to move, as if numb.
I shook my head and offered him some oil.
Once he could move
He ran in dash,
And on the counter
He threw his cash.

Lawyerbot Vs. Usukicon

Today's the day that Lawyerbot
Has waited for all year.
He'll add to his collection, for
Usukicon is here!

He saved his NP all year long, 
So he could bring it here
And buy "the one" he's missing
Before they disappear.

The Limited Edition Doll,
Low numbered and hand signed.
If there is one that he can get
'twill be an awesome find.

He'll get the doll he's after,
He puts up fearsome fights.
He IS a lawyer, after all,
And knows his legal rights.

Is he obsessed? Perhaps possessed?
I am a true believer.
I've seen his dolls; without a doubt
He's got Usuki fever.

Ode To A Doll

either way,

Woes Of An Usuki Collector

I'm an Usuki collector,
Travelling far and wide,
Finding the Usuki that I need,
Every day and night.

Oh, such a tiring task it is;
Travelling from shop to shop,
Looking for the cheapest price,
The shop at the wizard's very top.

Some dolls are insanely rare,
Some are at ridiculous prices,
Some are very common,
Depends which one looks the nicest!

I collect them for the fun of it,
Though it has since turned into a chore.
I have to beg Gallery owners
To sell their dolls to me, what a bore!

I fork out huge amount of Neopoints
To get the doll I need;
Completing my collection --
Not an easy task, indeed!

Hundreds of dolls I have amassed,
Which leaves just a few more for me.
Hoorah! I'm almost done with my collection,
I'm as happy as can be!

Oh, what's that?
Usukiland just restocked, you say?
Great, it's just nearby, 
Got to get my wallet out to pay!

And finally, my collection is complete;
My work here is done,
I feel so satisfied, indeed.
The Usukis left to collect are none!

Wait, what did you just say?
A new Usuki doll release?
*sigh* New dolls to track and find,
The life of an Usuki collector will never cease!

Sparkling Usuki Lipstick

I bought a shiny lipstick new.
I love its sparkling fuchsia hue.
It's just as pretty as can be.
I'm full of joyous, happy glee!

I know I'll share it with my 'pet.
She'll cheer and do a pirouette.
We both love makeup of all kinds.
We share the same fine, pretty mind!

Usuki Day is here at last,
And I intend to have a blast.
I'll wrap the lipstick in some foil.
My darling 'pet will feel so spoiled!

Oh, how the lipstick gleams and shines,
With flecks of glitter so divine.
It's charming, dainty, delicate.
It's graceful, lovely, elegant!

The tube is such a darling, too,
With swirls and coils somebody drew.
It has a pair of purple ears
That make me smile with mirth and cheer!

So, celebrate this holiday
With toys with which your 'pet can play!
This day comes only once a year,
So make your love known and sincere!

Time At The Con

Thousands of crazed fans
Stuck in lines going on,
It's that time of year...
It's time for Uskicon!

Usuki dolls, merchandise,
And booths galore,
Get your hands on that play set
Not sold at the store!

Free cookies, free snacks,
And much more to enjoy,
Be sure to place bids on
That rare Usuki boy!

No Quiguki fans allowed,
They receive no invitation,
This day's for the real thing;
Not a cheap imitation.

At the end of the day,
At the end of the eve,
The convention floor closes
And the many fans leave.

And so, they depart,
Followed by a silent wind,
Decorations are gone,
The Con comes to an end.

Not much time, they think,
Until the next con is here;
It will only get better...
I can't wait for next year!

The worth of which only a robot knows.
As fans along the hallways scurry,
To get their Usukis they’ll have to hurry.

Costumes abound in this hallowed place,
More mask-covered faces and frilly lace,
Covering dolls and 'pets alike.
One end to the other is quite a hike.

Pick up your posters to hang in your house,
And accessories for your Miamouse.
No other plushie allowed in on this craze:
Lawyerbot’s orders on his favorite of days.

Don’t miss your pass to the Usukicon,
Playing games, having fun, all until dawn.
Dancing in streets, in front of the hall.
Not odd: this behavior is conventional.
