Gormball games are here at last,
So don’t forget a raincoat;
With so much water everywhere,
You just might need a sailboat!

The game rules are so simple...
Pass the Gormball to the right,
Catch the orb gently and stay dry;
Use a hand that’s light.

The usual players will attend,
I favor lovely Ember;
How rare to see a faerie play
With mastery and fervor.

The audience now holds its breath,
Not a sound is heard
As the field is narrowed down to two...
Ember and Farvin the Third.

Back and forth the ball is tossed,
Palpable is the tension;
Then, finally, the ball explodes...
I peek with apprehension.

It’s Ember... standing all alone!
Smiling and bone dry;
Let’s tuck into my yummy prize...
A slice of chocopie.

The original ball game

has it's tournament today
and is full of hoopla.

The Annual Gormball Tournament
has begun once more,
and the top eight players
are looking to score.

Around and around
the circle of players
take the Gormball,
well aware of the dangers.

One false move
and the ball will explode,
leaving them drenched
from head to toe!

With anticipation, the players
watch the ball go 'round,
counting the seconds
since the last explosion sound.

Splash! One player down
who released far too late...
perhaps next year they'll win,
but now, a loss is their fate.

A toss and it's now
being held in your grip.
One second, two seconds,
the clock continues to tick.

Toss it now and boom!
The next player gets soaked.
A skillfully-timed toss keeps you in --
good thing you didn't choke.

So, watch the gormball
as it goes around again,
'cause the next time it explodes
it could be your game that ends.

Electric Gormball Gumball

Playing Gormball The COOL Way

A game of tossing gormballs
is a game that I would play!
Not in the normal fashion, though,
but in the COOL way.

I play with Zargrold, my favourite player,
his passes are sublime.
The passes must be great
and perfectly timed!

He is a COOL Grundo,
his persistence never stops.
He will never lose,
since, on him, the Gormball will never pop.

From eight to seven
the players go down,
to six to five,
from the Gormball they drown.

Down to four, down to three
we pass around the ball,
knowing that, in a few seconds,
someone else will fall.

Down to Zargrold and Gargarox,
my buddy from the past.
I know it's not COOL to lose,
so will be the one to last.

I hold it for three seconds,
he holds it for two.
I dared to hold it for five seconds,
and when Gargarox gets it, the ball goes BOOM!

Zargrold is the winner,
the top of the pack!
And know that, if I'm not around to play,
rest assured I will be back!
