Kougra Adventurer Outfit

The first Kougra outfit to grace Neopets,
I have some fond feelings for this set of clothes.
I don't have a Kougra to don with this garb.
Perhaps someday later, I will, I suppose.

The Kougra was never a favorite of mine.
I'm not a big cat person, truth must be told.
I thought it ungainly, a big ball of fur.
I thought it bizarre, and so strange to behold.

The Kougra Adventurer Outfit cropped up.
I quickly became so besotted with it.
Infatuated with its dark, rugged looks,
I quickly became so enchanted by it.

I learned to love Kougras because of these clothes.
I'll dress my own Kougra, someday when I earn
Enough to buy all the Adventurer gear.
(My sad lack of money is cause for concern.)

I'll always be grateful to this set of clothes
For making me open to Kougras as pets.
I love Kougras now with a love that won't quit.
I'll make my own Kougra. I have no regrets!

Commander Gormos: Kougra Hero

Employed by the infamous Sloth
Was a stoic Kougra by the name of Gormos
He was known to be cold
In battle he was bold
The perfect figure to lead Sloth’s wrath

And so he was named Sloth’s Commander
To irrational whims he would never pander
He had a heart of ice
And was cruel in a fight
Immune to gossip and slander

Yet Gormos perhaps had a flaw
A way for his heart to be thawed
He was always just
And though he was robust
He chose to overturn Sloth’s laws

And he let Gorix and Cylara escape
Pretended he’d got there too late
They’d slipped through the net
And though Sloth wouldn’t forget
Gormos could not let them face their fate

And thus an unlikely hero was born
His actions worthy of song
He was braver than most
Though he is not one to boast
It takes courage to tell right from wrong.

Tunnel Tumbling Jordie

In the depths of Moltara if there you'll dare to venture,
You'll find a young Kougra, full of adventure!
Jordie the Kougra loves to play,
Will you help keep him out of harms way?

In a bucket he'll sit, wearing a hat,
Dodging from this, dodging from that!
Rocks made of lava, fiery and hot -
Our playful Kougra dodges the lot!

Through tunnels of magma, Jordie does tumble,
"How does he do it?" Neopians wonder.
Is he full of bravado, daring and brave?
Or just young and foolish, wanting to play?

He never tires of tumbling through tunnels, 
And swinging around, evading the rubble!
After avoiding lava galore,
Jordie laughs, "Let's play some more!"

Mystery Island Kougra

I’m a Mystery Island Kougra
That’s where I run and play
Exploring the deep jungles
This is where I want to stay

There is nothing quite like home
There’s nowhere I’d rather be
Trading, training and tropical fruit
With a beautiful view of the sea

Your home may be nice
Your home may be grand
But nothing in Neopia can compare
to having your paws in Mystery Island sand.

Kougras at Play

In a dense and humid forest,
A sleek Kougra lies in wait
Of prey who comes in blissful
Unawareness of its fate.

He crouches in the tall sweet grass
And idles patiently,
For he is supremely confident of
His superb agility.

As still as death, he makes no sound
And readies his sharp claws,
Weapons of destruction
That are certain to give pause.

At last, he spies his quarry
And silently he springs;
He attacks with all the prowess
And the strength that he can bring.

They scuffle in green foliage
But no harm is caused today,
For what is witnessed in this forest
Are two lifelong friends at play.

The Haiku Master

I go to Mystery Island
In search of a famous Kougra
This said Neopet is named Rorru
She emits an air of enigma

Her hut's situated inland
Somewhere around the Training School
Directions given to me were 
South of the Cooking Pot and Rock Pool

I find the place after some time
To see a hut of green and blue
I entered the place nervously
And almost tripped on my own shoe

The green Kougra greets me warmly
And waits for me to settle down
I notice that she's deep in thought
It's evident from her slight frown

And then she begins to utter
A haiku of such simplicity
But the meaning of the poem
Is of quite great complexity

I am left to ponder about
The deeper meaning within it
I eventually do with help 
This Kougra must possess great wit

The Naming of Kougras

The Naming of Kougras
Is no simple affair
For I tell you, each Kougra
Has no more and no less
Than three different names

First there are the common, everyday names
Such as Max, Oliver or Sophie
There are even those names
Chosen by diacritic owners,
Such as Aquitane or Aphrodite.
But still every single one
Common, everyday names

But a Kougra needs a name that is particular
A name that is peculiar and more dignified,
Else how could he spread out his whiskers with pride?
And here I can cite _Jamie789, xxMademosaillexx,
Or even names such as Andiobaborum or Chellylorum
Names that never belong to more than one Kougra

And the third? Well I tell you,
That is a name you will never guess
And no Neopian researcher will ever find
But the Kougra himself knows and will never confess
And when you see a Kougra in profound meditation
The reason, I swear, is always the same
His mind is in deep contemplation,
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his Name
His ineffable
Effable
Effanineffable
Deep and indescribable Name

Woodland Wild

Breeze now parts the curtain, jade,
A rippled hue, a shifting shade.
Kaleidoscope, the drifting light,
Drifting leaves, in wind take flight.
From there the woodland boughs unfold,
Two glowing orbs, bright feline gold.

Like stealth itself, the motions small,
Silent, soft, the low footfall.
Forth from the wicked, waving dark,
The creature now goes forth, embark.
The mottled tones, a natural gown,
In shades of emerald, mocha, brown.

A whisper, does the movement seem,
The softest tread by flowing stream.
A sound, a noise, alert the gaze,
Like fire bright, the gold orbs blaze.
The danger gone, the moment ends,
Then melting in the woods, he blends.

A sanctuary, realm shall remain,
Far from jungle, barren plain.
A kingdom, camouflaging home.
Where free, the Kougra, safe to roam.
Belonging now, the forest floor,
The only sound, the echoed roar.

So much a part of woodland green,
One glimpse, one sight, yet never seen.
Yet prowling there, beyond each tree,
The creature dwells, forever free.
The drifting leaves, each spirals, spins,
Where woodland ends, Kougra begins.

Pouncing Lessons

Pounce, pounce, pounce, pounce,
The Kougra’s favorite dance.
They’ll jump and soar in glorious bounds,
It puts you in a trance.

All day they leap and twists to awes,
All night they spring ahead.
They always earn steady applause,
Before heading to bed.

Kougras must first learn how to though,
They are not born in stance.
They must control such great big paws,
Before you’d want to glance.

For years and years on end they pounce,
For months on end they vault. 
Since only once they’ve mastered it,
Then they claim no fault.

Kougra, Oh Kougra

Kougra, oh Kougra from Mystery Island you dwell,
Surely those lush forests must have been really swell.
We love your fur and those cute paws too,
And we love how you look even if it’s blue.

We love the notch on the back of your ear,
We’re so happy you came to us on this day of the year.
Since then you have become so famous on here,
We surely would never want to see you disappear.

You have Jake, Milton, and Zeirn to look up to,
You even have Linae a part of the Gaze crew.
Today isn’t just for the famous pets but for all of you,
And I hope that you feel that this is to be true.

For on this day I hope TNT will bless your kind,
Maybe with some new items or clothes you will find.
