The sun ascends, the land its light adorning;
Aureate rays illuminate verdant pasturage,
A villein can be seen shepherding upon a ridge.
"Aha," Hagan cries, "what a pulchritudinous morning!"

Sunbeams incandesce through resplendent glass,
Their pigmentations glimmer, setting the scene: 
Rufescent, violaceous, xanthous, and ultramarine.
"This glazier's virtuosity could not be surpassed!"

The atheneum is exceptionally splendid, 
Tomes and scrolls so speckless and sleek;
With illimitable intelligence and measureless mystique,
"This cache of wisdom assuredly must be defended!"

Light shines on multitudinous paladins and squires, 
Arrayed in robes and cloaks in lieu of metal, 
And wielding draughts and motes and unprecedented mettle.
"Such prudence and gallantry are what Brightvale requires."

Beyond the hillock a populous coterie has gathered,
Seeking to burgeon their knowledge at the Wheel of repute,
Or to procure a succulent and saccharine fruit.
"Their adulation and zeal for this realm have rendered me flattered."

A From atop his opulent throne, the jade Skeith observes.
"This land of Brightvale is veraciously illustrious and sublime,
Its grandeur worthy of only nonpareil lexemes and rhymes!
I myself possess an intellect and acumen both profound and vast,
Enough to vaticinate the future and memorialize the past.
And in Brightvale's honor this wisdom I shall bear for as long as I serve."

We have a tradition,
On Brightvale Day
To visit the bookstore,
(Though I have to pay).

Running a clawtip
Along a high shelf,
My ruki grinned,
Muttering to herself:

"Perhaps I should buy Brynn's autobiography,
Or a guide about how to look scholarly",
Look! Here's a book of pretentious quotes!
But I really would like to learn more about motes,
'Digging for Knowledge' would help underground,
'Brightvale Maps'? More useful for walking around!
Though maybe instead I should pick out a novel,
Or a book about dungeons to help me stay lawful,
I think that I'm ready for some 'Advanced Learning',
But would a job coupon guide help more with my earning?
So many books about Brightvale's great history,
But which I should choose is really a mystery!"

Spinning around,
She let out a cry,
"There's too many books!
I just can't decide!"

Its the same every year,
I can't be surprised,
"We'll take the lot,"
I said, with a sigh.

A Celebration of Brightvale

A random shield that you (unfortunately) can’t select.

Perhaps a job coupon for those who seek employment,
A Usuki Doll to play with at your own enjoyment,
A Neopet swiftly healed to full health,
Or advice from King Hagan – the greatest wealth.

You could strike upon a random window or mote,
Or knowledge that a scholar once wrote,
A Brightvale Guard Plushie to round up the doll collection,
Better yet the coveted Brightvale avatar, the only one.

King Hagan In Brightvale

The summer is coming to a close,
The leaves fall and the wind blows,
Hagan arrives to the dawning of the skies,
Neopets are startled by what a surprise.

Hagan steps out of his ride bearing all the pride,
He waves at the crowd and they kneel and abide,
For Hagan is the monarch of Brightvale,
He hardly makes an appearance,
Cept for Discovery of Brightvale Day,
King Hagan shows his courage on display.

The lush emerald meadows cover the land,
Everybody together has formed a plan,
They want to send a strong Neopian message,
For today there is no longer any wreckage,
No signs of the essence of a frightful war,
The Brightvalians can officially be at peace,
They no longer need to stay in silence anymore.

So all the shopkeepers wave their banner high,
Green and Yellow fireworks fizzle in the sky,
Brightvale day is what we celebrate,
Theirs fun all around so please don't frown,
Smile and know your leader wears his crown,
Today is the day to deliberate,
With Hagan we exclaim "Happy Brightvale Day".
So pull a chair have a seat and stay for the show,
It's all about Discovery of Brightvale,
And everyone now knows.

Discovery of Brightvale

The exact year we started celebrating,
is still a mystery.
But this day,
is one that goes down in history.

Many years ago on this day,
a new land was discovered.
A land where all kinds of fun things,
were soon uncovered.

With this new land,
came many new things to do.
New shops to explore,
and a new king too.

Brightvale was discovered,
on this day many years ago.
Who exactly founded it,
is something I do not know.

So head on down to Brightvale,
to explore and have fun.
Enjoy the celebrations,
until this day is done.

Brightvale: The Bastion of Light

I’m moved to vail at Brightvale’s light,
in glass works and renown insight alike;
here a Blue Draik glazes gallantly,
proud of his innate artistry. 
I take a glimpse at the finished pane 
and my eyes daze at the lit frame,
bursting with motes inlaid 
of the tiniest specks in full array.

Over there a wheel made of similar glamour
turns sweepingly at the crowd’s clamor;
hundreds gather from afar
to seek spokes of knowledge,
tokens of wisdom it imparts.
Amid these are gifts of weaponry;
a shield and sword of physical means
as well as those literary.

With rolls of parchment in display,
Princess Roberta guards the scholar’s plane;
shelves of scrolls sharpen the mind,
the Scrollery serving as a local hive.
Comb through the tomes
and visit knowledge of old,
tales daringly bold,
and volumes soothing to the soul. 

Greater than the fount of youth,
a treasure to inquiring truth,
is the Old Wise King Hagan
who never turns aside
the pursuit to claim
knowledge bartered among domains.
