It is beautiful to see them.
They almost touch the stars.
Way above the clouds they go.
All of them are different colours,
And each one wants to win.
It is a wonderful sight, and all
Of the people crowd around
The streets of Neopia
Just to see them when they get near.

They want to see the winner take,
The golden trophy in their wings.
And to smile.
Smiles are contagious, you know.
When you smile at me.
I smile right back.
And everyone smiles.
But the other Pteris will not smile.
For they have not won.
So let us not be sour, my friends!
Instead, be happy for the winner.
As they would be happy for you.

This wizard does not use force or tricks
But her timeless knowledge will always fix
Her trusty glasses always at her side
There to read the verse of timeless tide

Shining like a timeless, iridescent light
Her knowledge making up a powerful might

This humble, intelligent old Pteri
Wouldn't look too powerful to you or me
But sometimes things arent always as they seem

Heart of a Champion Flyer

Golden, green, blue, or even red
Feathered friends fly above your head.
Silky coats, and quite sharp beaks
Like tiny sparrows in the air
They can be found just about anywhere.
Pteri large, Pteri small
Size to them doesn't matter at all.
Friendly feathered creatures
All with the same type of features.
Eyes like pools of blue, carefully watching you
There seems not to be
Quite a better bird than the Pteri...

Pteri Flying Day
All the swift, speedy Pteri pets
Won't hasten to shout, "Hurray!"

For everyone will rejoice
They'll jump and sing a lot
On the one and only Pteri Day
No battles will be fought

The young and restless Pteris
Are the centers of attention
Their stressed but happy owners
Will laugh; release the tension

The Pteris who play tricks
On every passerby
Won't they stop and take a break
Or maybe wonder why?

Because it's the one and only
Pteri Flying Day
And all the joyful, laughing pets
Won't hasten to shout, "Hurray!"

From hiding in the treetops
Throwing rocks at other pets
To squawking laughter as they fly
There won't be many bets

That the Pteris will stop for just one time
Especially on their day
Lining up at the grand old track
To take off in flight, they say
