Beware the Meepit!

A crooked sign is snapped in half,
It hangs just by a thread.
Dusty webs conceal the door,
Approach, my friend, with dread.
An eerie giggle as you stand,
Just past that broken door.
Something wicked lurks within,
This Spooky Petpet Store.

Aware that someone watches you,
You know you're not alone.
Two large eyes like crystal shine,
And chill you to the bone.
A tiny figure, toned in pink,
Is he the one to blame?
You've found a Meepit, be aware,
Or life won't be the same.

Something eerie in that gaze,
Those eyes that simply stare.
Protruding teeth that seem quite sharp,
I beg you now, beware!
All other Petpets seem afraid,
Some hide and others quake.
This Meepit isn't really right,
A thought that you can't shake.

Distinct is lack of Feepits here,
You hate to wonder why.
And all the while he doth stare,
With gaze so wide and sly.
Those vapid eyes are so intense,
They glow and almost burn.
Stay clear of Meepits, be aware,
Or you might not return!

Sonnet to Petpets

Thine fierce dark eyes and brightly flaming fur,
Thou art a brave and worthy swordswoman,
Yet thou art angelic, with your sweet purr.
Thine heart is like a warm and lovely glen.

Thou art the watchdog, alert protector,
Protecting me while darkness doth prevail,
Fending off each dark and dismal spectre,
Keeping me from death and his horse so pale.

Thou art my spritely companion, my friend,
Thine kindness and thine good faith hearten me,
Thine effervescence all hope doth transcend,
My darling, with thine joy you bring me glee.

With all my heart I thank thee, gentle sprite,
And so, to thee, this sonnet I recite.

An Appreciation Celebration

Now let's all show an appreciation,
For the Neopian Petpet creation,
Small critters that populate the nation,
Provide us with love and fascination.

Neopia has such an admiration,
For Petpet's dedication,
For Mazzew's imagination,
And Slorg's great organisation.

All day I can have a conversation,
Learning about such information,
That small Petpet's motivation,
Provides to me through communication.

I really do have an infatuation,
With the Petpet population,
I would never put them in isolation,
I would never have such a temptation.

Having Petpets as my relation,
Causes me so much elation,
So everyone, join the celebration,
And show your great appreciation!

Ode to a Ninja Altachuck

I'm quite a timid creature,
And I'm also rather shy.
I'll yelp and hide in pillows
When the shadows catch my eye.
I don't like scary stories
Or wind whistling in the night,
And anything that buzzes..
Oh, and anything that bites.

I'm slightly wary of deep ponds,
Or sailing out to sea,
I won't go near a single thing
Whose name begins with 'd'.
I don't have many friends,
Because I am so very wary...
Although I'm sure you would agree
Those Snowickles are scary!

My owner is a ninja bunny, ready to attack...
But when we're in the Battledome --
Let's say I've got his back.
We do make quite a quirky pair,
Cinnamon and me,
But I know I'm not just a Petpet.
We're a family.
