Jelly World Does Not Exist
By Cleverdoggy

There are rumors of a land,
So tasty, so sweet.
A land where every Neopet
Can get a jelly treat.

But when I ask the others
They all laugh in my face.
They point their fingers, taunting me.
They say there's no such place.

But there are nights that I have doubts
As I sleep in my bed.
For as I rest up through the night,
I see visions in my head.

My dreams show me a world of orange,
Of squishy things galore.
A giant mound of jelly where
You take one blob, no more.

And I have searched maps old and new
Without a single trace
Of a mystical world of jelly pets-
There seems to be no place!

Yet if you ask me, I won't lie;
I'll tell you, in a whisper, the truth.
I'll keep on searching, keep on believing
Until you show me the proof.

So say it loud if you're so inclined.
Feel free to laugh at me.
But someday soon, I'll find Jelly World.
Go ahead, just wait and see.

Fuhnah's Dance
By Lady_harliquinn

Gathered by the Mountainside
Four musicians played
Calling forth the faerie folk
To come on out and play

Her skin was like the setting sun
Her hair like fire's flame
Gathered by the moutainside
She's all for the game

Others come to dance the jig
While the music flows
Sun and Moon they both are there
Enjoying the big show

Gathered by the Mountainside
Four musicians played
Calling forth the faerie folk
To come on out and play

Miracle of the Sand
By Novemberrainbow

Oh, sweet, silk-spun, golden light,
radiant veil that cloaks the land,
shrouding all the rolling dunes
beneath your blazing hand.

Rays whose luminance can light the path
if you can bear their stifling heat;
both a blessing and a curse
for the Neopets that travel beneath.

Beaming 'pon the gleaming temples
and resounding from Coltzan's shrine,
the Lost Desert's a sand-peppered miracle
among dry dunes so labyrinthine.

To prevail this treacherous crossing
is a story meriting boasts.
Far few are brave enough to travel
to this land of ancient hosts.

But the rewards are there for reaping
if you'll only take the chance.
With a little faith -- and lots of water --
you can escape the shifting sands.

'Tis no easy journey,
and that stands to perfect reason;
for the treasures here to find
are beyond those of your dreaming.

Whether to Sakhmet or Qasala,
you are sure to find delight.
But be wary of beguiling mirages
or you may meet the desert's blight...

A Very Slimey Slorg
By Viridian_butterfly

A slimy little fellow sat
Upon a mossy rock,
A spotted back; a belly fat,
A Slorg, or is it not?

He turned his rounded face to me,
And behind those big round eyes,
I sensed a sadness in his face,
I thought - "Oh, please don't cry!"

I asked the spotted Slorg,
What problems bothered him so,
He sighed a Slorgy slimy sigh
And said, "Slime follows where I go!

"I climb atop a Meepie Tree,
And slime a'coats the leaves,
I squeeze around Illusen's Glade,
And slime's along the trees!

"If slime cannot let me be,
I suppose I'll have to go!"
"Oh, humble Slorg," I said to him,
"I must disagree - no!

"You dear old Slorg,
You are not bad-
Why don't you come with me?
My gardens sure are looking drab,
Slime's welcome on my tree."

He looked at me - a smile now
Upon his cherubic face,
"Of course I'll go with you, dear friend,
To such a lovely place!"

And so happy was the Slorg I found
That now sometimes, days and nights,
You'll find him 'round upon a page
Giving out Neopoints!

The Faerie Xweetok
By Shaddykins

The full moon hangs in the dead of the night,
A sea of grass dances in its light.
Gently the cool zephyr wind blows,
And shadowed figure bounds forth upon its toes.

In one swift motion skyward she leaps,
Expertly bounding toward the treetop's peak.
A silver hue glistens from her soft furry coat,
Sapphire eyes gleam and thoughts afloat.

With mind set and decision made,
She springs from her perch within the glade.
Thrusting her wings with all her might,
She spirals her way high up into the night.

Her spirit soars as she twists and twirls,
Under a sonnet of stars she hurls.
Gifted and agile she dances with flair,
Joyfully bonding with the air.

Dreamily a smile edges across her face,
And she plummets downward with an awed pace.
Hustle the explosion of energy spent,
Gleeful thrill of a rapid descent.

Adeptly she pulls out of her freefall,
And settles into a lingering soar.
With a dainty thud she settles in the field,
And this Xweetok wonders
What tomorrow will yield.
