except, not really,
but what to expect from
something called mediocrity?

So, go ahead now

Plesio, Captain Of The Sea

and Captain of the sea.
He led his valiant troops
to a great war victory.

In this time long ago,
in the great Tyrannian War,
he protected the land
from the Monoceraptor.

No 'pet can deny
that he is brave and bold.

When the land was invaded,
he stood his ground.

Camouflage Flotsam

Of Super Attack Peas
Is a Flotsam, blending well
With her surrounding seas.

Think she is a mirage,
But restless waters tell no lies:
The Flotsam’s camouflage.

Her purpose is not for deceit,
To whet her appetite,
But so others, from far away,
Think she is Maractite.

Approach and gaze upon her stripes,
The rippled, sea-like hues,
Which burst alive greys and greens 
As well as tell-tale blues.

Up close, her iridescent eyes
Tell tales of her birthplace.
The sea is nestled in her heart
Where it won’t be replaced.

Her skin, soft as a gold seashell,
Shows what she never hides:
The place she’s from. She sports those
Colors with utmost pride.

The Underwater Chef

If your travels bring you to 
Mystery Island, you will find 
a purple Flotsam whose name 
is the Underwater Chef. 

He used to lead a charmed life, 
cooking for the most prestige, 
Maraqua's royal family, 
before Maraqua was destroyed. 

Back then, cooking was his passion, 
but after escaping from 
the giant maelstrom and having 
a new employer, things changed. 

The great Mumbo Pango whom he serves, 
demands food every five minutes, 
and has a giant appetite
with a taste for strange recipes. 

Thus he seems bitter and annoyed, 
having to rush around the place 
and constantly worry if he 
will be thrown in the Cooking Pot.

Ode To The Graceful Flotsam

If you travel to the deepest sea,
You’ll see that Maraquan 'pets abound,
But there is one, graceful and free,
That is the most beautiful 'pet around. 

The Flotsam with her shining horn,
The very picture of elegance,
Rising up to greet each morn
With joy and hopefulness immense.

The other Maraquans look on with envy,
Wishing that they could have her speed,
For, if life was a race of agility,
She would certainly take the lead. 

She twists and turns and flips and spins,
Twirling in a dexterous dance,
Propelling around as she pumps her fins,
Frolicking among the coral and plants.

The Flotsam has a heart of gold
Willing to help everyone,
She’ll do whatever she is told,
Putting others before her own fun.

Now the Maraquans gather to conspire,
Getting the festivities underway,
A surprise party for the 'pet they admire,
Because today is Flotsam Day!
