The Lair of the Beast By Seabiscuit161

The earth is damp and cold under my feet,
there's a new sense of terror with every heartbeat.
In this cave what adventures will unfold?
There's some sort of hideous beast, I'm told.
It's said to have a horrible high-pitched wail,
one that will leave you
scared stiff to the tip of your tail.
My heartbeat quickens with anticipation,
I'm too scared for relaxation.
I'm curious,
yet furious,
for letting myself get into this mess.
The unbearable silence only adds to my distress.
I'm nearing the end of the cave,
a chill runs up my spine,
I question myself,
"Will I be eaten, or will I be fine?"
Maybe this is a huge mistake,
but that's a chance I'll have to take.
Untold terror fills my heart,
as a chilling scream pierces
the dark like a dart.
A huge monster spreads its wings,
while its death song it sings.
It jumps forward to eat me,
as its eyes glow red,
but like lightning, I flee instead.
I'm going as fast as I can run,
relief floods my senses
as I see the distant light of the sun.
Several minutes later,
after my heart rate had decreased,
I looked over my shoulder,
and saw the entrance to The Lair of the Beast.
"So, the old stories are true." I said to myself,
glad to have escaped with my life and my health.

Smugglers Cove By Abercrombie_dude_

Hidden from the world's prying eyes,
on a secluded coast, a market lies.
Smugglers Cove is the place to be,
if you want your mystical pot of tea.

It's a strange black market,
where most people dare not dwell.
Only a scurvy old bunch set up shop here to sell.
What you expect to find
are treasures from the seven seas,
but only Dubloons, not points, can appease.

Be wary of items and restock times,
if you're not, you won't spend a dime.
The belongings here are limited edition,
but don't dare linger to cause suspicion.
For if you do, pirates will shoo you away,
and tell you, "Come back another day."

So if you want your Banana Sword;
or anything else from that coveted horde,
be not forgetful to count your Dubloons,
and wait for more items to appear very soon.

Only the strong and black-hearted buy,
these "ill-gotten" items from people with one eye.
If you dare buy one of these exotic devices
keep in mind the many people it entices.
Be quick but remember to be very wary,
You don't really know what your buying
when the person's arm is hairy.

Smugglers Cove is a dark damp place.
It's also know as the pirate base.
Watch your wallet, these people are greedy!
If you lose a Dubloon you'll probably be teary.

Watch your back and watch your rank,
or you'll find yourself walking a plank.
Be careful with pirates on the grounds,
your weapon of choice
would be to turn back around.

Gelert Day By Amandalockie375

Drat! Oh, drat!
Gelert Day is near!
And I will have to be away.
My Gelert’s eyes are holding tears.

I tell her, “Do not cry,
We can celebrate when I get back.”
But I can tell she’s really sad,
On me she’s turned her back.

I tell her that I’m sorry,
And I mean that with all my heart.
She looks at me with large sad eyes
And gives a soft sad bark.

I wish I could be there with her,
On her special day.
Gelert Day is coming,
And I will be away.

August Woes By Jonahfab

When walking in the town bazaar,
A shop did catch my eye,
"Back to School" read the sign outside,
And I let out a sigh!

I thought that I could stay away,
From pens, teachers and books,
But now I hear the Staff does say,
We can't survive on looks.

I opened the door slowly,
Upon entry had a shock,
The shop that was the hippest rage,
Had nothing in its stock.

A Techo smiled regretfully,
And then he did explain,
That having so many students,
On the supply put a strain.

I smiled to my owner,
And with a heavy sigh,
Said, "I guess that means no school for me,"
I waved and said goodbye.

Just as I thought the danger'd passed,
My owner stopped to say,
"Don't worry we'll get you some things,
We'll come another day."

I soon found out that school is not,
As bad as I had thought,
The teachers know a lot of things,
And I love the stuff I've bought

I have a Chia Pencil Case,
To store my favorite things,
And I have time to hang out with my friends,
After the last bell rings.

Peophin By Phantomrider07

In the depths of the sea;
Where no light remains,
Lives a bountiful creature
That no man has ever tamed,
With a flap of a fin,
A swish from the tail,
All creatures bow
At the great Peophin's wail,
It lives in a cave at the bottom of the sea,
By the sunken ship, around the seaweed tree,
Mystical yes, hated no,
Peophin power is the best, you know,
The great Peophin protects them all,
When the creatures of the sea need him,
He is at their call.

How I know him very well,
And now I have an elegant story to tell!!!

When born he was diseased;
Not able to swish his tail,
Every time the others raced,
He tried, but was soon to fail,
They snarled and laughed
At how he could not swim,
They always hurt his feelings
And broke his spirit within,
He was beaten up and mugged
For being unlike those he raced,
He was hurt for doing nothing
Except the born obstacle that he'd faced,
One too many times
He was faced with horrible defeat,
He swore that one day
They would soon again meet!

So he decided to swim (or run),
He ran away to where there was no sun!
And so started the story
Of the one who'd been so wronged,
The one who ran away
For thinking he didn't belong!

He found a nice little cave
Where he lives to this very day,
No more hurt feelings and a lot more play,
He played Gormball and Grundo Snow Throw
To his imaginary friend, Uni,
He was too afraid to go back
To think of running away was a little loony,
The poor Peophin lived
Fighting fear and his diseased tail,
Both held the Peophin back
And the Peophin knew that
He had once again failed.

One day there came a cry
From a Water Faerie being chased by a Jetsam,
The Peophin hesitated, but then started to race
Almost getting his tail caught in a giant clam,
Fire rushed through the Peophin's tail
Holding him back,
Crack!

His tail had cracked so it came to a point;
Almost making the Peophin tear,
But this was no tear of pain, but one of fear,
Afraid of not making it
In time for the Water Faerie,
He pushed off a sharp rock,
Hurting himself,
But determined, racing against the clock,
Then came a chomp from the Jetsam
Almost getting the Water Faerie,
But then came the Peophin
Trading his life for hers,
The Jetsam, now full, ran off
Leaving the Faerie,
Knowing she was the cause for sure!

Now a monument lies
For the best creature that ever swam,
It lies by Shark Rock,
By its guardian the big clam,
The Peophin that lives now
Is the only one left;
It helps others as its ancestor had
Even with a diseased tail,
In the end ... the Peophin did not at all fail!!!

Creatures bow before it, as a sign of respect,
For it will always protect,
So in the end...
A swish of its fin and a flap of its tail,
All creatures bow for respect
as they hear the great Peophin's wail!!!
