Petpets In My SDB
by sophieninetyfive

A thought has just occurred to me:
How are the Petpets in my SDB?
I wonder what they do all day
To pass the time in storage away.

Do they get lonely stuck in that box?
Do they think up ways to break the locks?
Are they frozen in time and place?
How does it even have that much space?!

Surrounded by toys, they probably play
There's plenty of food to keep hunger at bay
And lots of wearables in there too –
Playing dress-up would be fun to do.

I hope they've all got plenty of room
I hope they get sunlight and not just gloom
And when at last they're released and such
I hope they don't miss SDB life too much!

An Ode to Rink Runner
by waning

The cheering commences in Happy Valley,
As a plump Bruce takes center stage.
Practice has begun for the annual ice show,
and this Bruce wants his routine to be all the rage!

The tune is set as he begins to pirouette,
His skates create remnants of his glide.
With twists and turns he gains cheers from all;
He adores watching the fans gasp as she slides.

To amaze them more he leaps in the air,
The quick jump produces a shocking sight,
The ice is cracked, cold water is seeping through.
The crowd gasps with fright!

Without fear the fellow skates on,
He knows his bearings well,
As the cracks grow large he leaps and bounds.
Will he fall in? No one can tell!

More water than ice envelops the rink,
though the Bruce doesn’t miss a single note.
With a sudden stop and a bow he concludes.
The performance was top notch; he wins the crowds vote!

Donny The Toy Repairer
by classtastic

In a small shop on the mountain of terror,
You will meet an old red Bori, Donny the toy repairer.
He’s an expert on fixing trinkets and toys.
His work is adored by all Neopian girls and boys.
Donny’s prices are high, but trust that it’s not a rip off.
If you try to negotiate, you’ll be stopped by his nasty cough.
When the tickle in his throat finally ceases
He’ll ask you to lay out the smashed pieces
Of your broken toy so he can take a peek.
Donny chuckles, “I’ve seen three of these this week.
Your toy will be fine. In fact, it’ll be as good as new!”
You sigh with relief and cry out, “Oh Donny, thank you!”
Just a typical day in Donny’s Toy Repair Shop.
Remember to visit him if you ever explore Terror Mountain’s Top.

Shopping for a Desert Delicacy
by ragecandybar

Within the desert city's walls,
Vendors display their arid stalls.
Their wares entice, but I resist
I have but one thing on my list.

As I browse through gritty fares,
Like blackened food or sandy pears,
I search in vain for one lone fruit;
The desert’s pride, or Kyrii’s loot.

It grows beneath the desert land,
A purple root at home in sand.
Its skin is sleek with violet sheen;
I want one fruit: An Ummagine!

As at last the shop restocks,
I receive a pleasant shock;
The owner grins and gives to me
A bunch of Ummagine, all for free!

I thank him as I wave farewell,
A delicious feast will serve me well.
As I head for home, I feel quite spry,
For I must bake my Ummagine pie!

Imiya and the Babaas
by allysalvador

It’s the night before the dreaded maths test,
And it’s time for Imiya to go to bed.
She needs to get some sleep tonight,
But the numbers just won’t leave her head.

She dreams of Babaas carrying maths problems,
And she must solve each one.
It’s the only way for them to leave.
Oh gosh - this isn’t going to be much fun!

Two plus four, six plus eight,
The Babaas just won’t stop!
Thank goodness Imiya studied addition,
So over the fence they hop!

Suddenly, out comes a Babaa with a division problem,
One that Imiya just can’t answer.
But the Babaas keep coming and coming,
And the amount overwhelms her!

Imiya wakes up in a panic,
“I should study more”, she said.
She turns off her alarm clock, crawls out of bed,
But plays computer games instead!
