Ode to Chia

I’m a Chia, quite small, you see - 
And I come in great colours like grape, lime or pea!
I say this quite proudly, but please don’t eat me?

I look funny in dresses; shirts are often too small.
I have unique chia outfits, let me show you them all! 
A gypsy necklace, cosy dress or a coconut suit!
They look great! – except together; together, it’s a hoot.

You know something funny? My petpet is almost my size! 
But come here, sit down, I’ve been told I’m quite wise…
If you meet a chia, say hi and smile
We’re friendly, I promise – let’s chat for a while! 

Meet Florg for example, he’s scary and mean!
The opposite of Adee, who is scared of ice cream.
Trrygdorr’s a salesman, same with Nigel in stocks! 
Thyassa plays Gormball, and trust me – she rocks!

So, please, choose a Chia when choosing a pet,
We’re sweet, kind, unique and quite frankly – the best! 
I’ll help your pets study and I won’t be a pest,
I’m fruity, I’m happy, I’ll be your best friend yet!

A Chocolate Chia Lament

I’m made of rich milk chocolate,
The finest in the land,
Smooth and tantalizing,
Isn’t the Lab Ray grand?

A smattering of luscious fudge
Rests atop my pate,
And a crown of cream and sprinkles
Is guaranteed to sate.

You’d think I’d be as jubilant
As I could ever be,
But my delightful color
Causes problems for me.

With a Lupe on every corner
To have to avoid,
A Chocolate Chia tends to feel
A little paranoid.

And in the heat of battle,
It’s obvious to me
That melting during an attack
Is a liability.

So I would choose a color
That is slightly less delicious;
Perhaps something more healthful,
And just a tad nutritious.

And if my owner asks me
What I long to be,
I’ll answer most sincerely…
A shiny bright green Pea!

Labbing my Chia

When visiting the Secret Lab,
There's one pet that I favour.
I aim to zap my Chia,
Into a very special flavour.

I quickly greet the scientist,
And then get my Chia ready.
Then ZAP! goes the machine,
I hope my pet is holding steady.

I'm hoping for a colour change,
Into a veggie or a fruit.
How about Durian or Aubergine,
Or a Pea would be a beaut!

It's time to go collect him now,
Whatever colour will he be?
Oh no, he has stayed just the same,
But his strength has gone down three.

I'll be back again tomorrow,
Visiting the lab once more.
I don't mind if it takes a while,
Because there are fruits galore!

Something has happened!

You're wandering along one day,
When much to your surprise,
You see a purple Chia,
With his arms full of supplies.

Upon his head a chefs hat,
Is proudly sat in place,
Whilst he carries several more -
I imagine - just in case.

A beret, and a baseball cap,
Are but two he has,
Behind his back are many more,
With tons of razzmatazz!

Sparkly and furry,
Basic and with spots,
He has so many different hats,
Even some with dots!

And as he passes by you;
As he dashes on his way,
He hands to you a random cap,
And runs quickly on his way.

'What a lovely fellow,'
You take the time to say.
With a brand new hat upon your head,
That Chia's made your day!

for fifteen years now
A veteran for the ages
I keep spelling cow Kau

I know the secrets
and all of the lore
I can even assume what
is behind the locked Neoquest door

Yet, for all that I've done
and for everything I see
I keep getting 'help'
for that one Chia, Adee

I can be walking about
and she'd shout out loud
where all of the cool World Events
could be found

Or perhaps in a game of Neggsweeper
trying to concentrate on Hard
She'll pop up and tell me
how to send friends a postcard

In the clothing shop
checking the latest fads
she'll run in saying something
about getting a Neobadge

Please stop Adee
I know all this already
Thanks for your help
but I assure you, I'm ready.

You can go back to Terror Mountain
and stop making a scene
and stay trapped inside
of the Ice Cream Machine.

Pop! Goes The Chia

On a warm Neopian day
There's nothing as nice
As treating your Chia
To a cold stick of ice.
There are so many flavours 
Displayed in the shop,
Tasty and colourful
A rainbow of Chia pops!
The magical ones are catching my eye
Do be warned - they come at a price!
What makes them magical? 
We'll have to wait
Pop!
Oh Look
My Chia's a grape!
A green one next
How divine
Pop!
Oh look
My Chia's a lime!
I didn't know 
That this would happen.
Pop!
Oh look
My Chia's an apple!
What a surprise
Isn't this fun?

It's making me dizzy
All these changes I see.

Blueberry, ummagine, pear, peach, tomato,
Gooseberry, aubergine, carrot, and chokato!
So many choices
Stop! 
That's enough!

Chia Chocolatier Outfit

It's Chia Day! Behind the scenes
Is this lone Chia cook.
Preparing for the Chocolate Ball,
Its zeal can't be mistook!

It runs around with wooden spoon.
It tastes from every pot.
Its uniform's a cocoa mess,
So covered in brown spots!

Its hat is smeared with cocoa too.
Its trousers, gunky, sweet.
But do not think to eat this cook.
This Chia is no treat!

Instead, await the Chocolate Ball,
Where cakes will be supplied.
You'll be astonished by the food.
You'll gasp, and eat, and sigh!

The Jelly Chia

On a certain hill, a chocolate factory stands
Old and disused and presumably no one there
But sometimes you hear noises that make your fur stand on end
It is the Jelly Chia and you ought to beware

His history is of a very painful one
For Wizzle the inventor created him with an objective
They did things together and had lots of fun
But this was all a front 'cause Wizzle was deceptive

Wizzle's craving for jelly soon got the better of him
As he approached the Chia, ready to pounce
Instead the Chia engulfed his creator, feeling grim 
But he had no choice so away to the factory he bounced

If you contemplate the situation, the Jelly Chia is in fact harmless
However it's best not to meet him face to face
But if you do encounter him never leave yourself defenseless 
It's probably wiser though to completely avoid the place

From a Carrot Chia

Please don't mistake
food-looking Chias for food
We were created plain -
The Lab Ray was just rude!
You may have bad eyesight
and need carrots to see,
but as a Carrot Chia
please stop chasing me!

Would you ever bite a Moehog
colored yellow or blue?
They are Neopets
and guess what:
I am too!

Fruit and Veggie Chias
appear edible and are rare,
but gawking at us
is neither wanted nor fair.

When I was zapped Carrot,
my owner was ever pleased
and she should be,
it's a blessing
and not a disease!

The Onion Chia

So little, yet it makes you cry.
It's not easy to stay strong, but you can try.
It's just a friendly Chia, they say.
Yet your eyes point the other way.

Onion Chia just wants to be friends,
But fruit Chias are the real trends.
Orange, peach, pear, you choose.
Just keep them away from the moose.

Onion Chia is cute all the time,
She is as sweet as the Chia Lime.
Chias are the best choice of pets.
I have seven and no regrets. 

Pea Chias are way too small,
And Pineapple Chias are way too tall.
Lovely Onion Chia is the right size,
Show some respect, don't marginalize.
