More Than It Seems

From the outside this world does appear,
To have little reason for fear,
A bright sunny world filled with good times,
And a contest for those with the best rhymes,

There’s Altador’s rich battle history,
And the Lost Desert found out by Brucey B,
From the undersea city of Maraqua,
To the tunnels of lava in Moltara...

At the end of a rainbow Roo Island is hopping!
But Neopia Central’s the best place to go shopping,
Krawk Island’s swashbuckling with hidden doubloons,
While Lutari Island seems plagued by monsoons!

Kiko Lake is home to some cute denizens,
Whilst those in Shenkuu are masters of all Zens!
Terror Mountain hosts both holidays and snow,
And there’s a giant omelette on the Tyrannian Plateau!

The Virtupets Space Station orbit day and night,
And the Haunted Woods contain one heck of a fright!
Faerieland is beautiful and magical too,
And Neridell is home to a Mortog or two!

On Mystery Island there is Tombola to play,
And Kreludor the moon is a world far away!
Brightvale is where all the brightest minds are,
The whole world is cute and friendly, by far...

But what of the battles, the wars and the chaos?
The hours of struggle, and mayhem and loss?
For this is a world where excitement is found,
There’s challenges and adventures all the world ‘round!

So don’t be afraid, come along for the ride,
As you enter Neopia, let this world be your guide!

Faerie Grey

A Faerie Grey, lives out her days,
In a dreary fog filled with haze.
Locked in a cage where shadows loom,
Her captor taunts of impending doom.

Her wings now clipped, her magic gone,
Alone and scared she faces each dawn.
Trapped now forever it would seem,
Escape comes only in her dreams.

Almost broken, her hope nearly gone,
She still remains the Dark Faeries pawn.
Locked away by her very own name,
The magic locks spell remains the same.

Is there no one to hear her helpless cries,
No one to save her from certain demise?
She grows even weaker as the days press on,
Parched from no water, her voice nearly gone.

Suddenly she hears a very strange sound,
A Kyrii named Tavi set her traveling pack down.
Faerie Grey whispers, help free me please!
The quick witted Tavi helps her with ease.

Tavi challenged the lock to a guessing game,
One that would give her the magic locks name!
She followed the rules, asking not the locks name,
Instead Faerie Grey's as she knew they were the same.

The angry lock screamed, that's not fair,
But was already beaten quite fair and square.
The magic lock opened with Faerie Grey's name.
Her freedom was granted that wonderful day!

The Eyrie as Old as Time

The pet awakes, full of pride
He stretches his wings and rubs his eyes
He stands strong, straight and tall
As he looks out at the petpets, big and small.

He is an Eyrie, sweet and kind
Protector of all, and as old as time.
He helps the young, the old, and needy too
He wants the best for me and for you.

He's waged the wars throughout history
How he did it is still a mystery
The strong, the weak, the weary
Come to him when things seem too eerie.

He has no name, but he is known
He is always here, you are not alone
So hold your head high, and face your dreams
He shows you that things are not as hard as they seem.

With wisdom, kindness and with care
We let our magic spark

We are the fairies free and wild
We may never be controlled
But help us now, oh little child
And your secret won't be told

For magic must always have a price
Of that we aware
So we will not all times play nice
But forever we are fair

For fairies do what fairies must
When all comes to it's end
We can grant you kindness and our trust
If you prove to be our friend

If not, the price you pay is grand
on that we can agree
You will be taken from our land

Maraqua: A Neopian's Dream

Maraqua, a land of beauty and mystique.
Neopia’s sole land underwater, entirely unique.

Destroyed by pirates and a whirlpool, Maraquans have suffered nightlong.
By the efforts of King Kelpbeard, Maraqua now stands eminent and strong.

Exploring the depths of Maraqua, that is where I want to be.
Collecting seashells, eating kelp, breathing under the deep blue sea.

I bet Maraquans never get bored, there is so much to do.
Coloring pages and underwater fishing, all in the Maraquan Ruins.

If I were a Maraquan, I would own a grand Maraquan Neohome.
I would visit Maraquan Petpets, purchase an Arkmite to call my own.

Each day I would play Jubble Bubble and earn a high score.
I would help Kelby save all the JubJubs from hitting the ocean floor!

I would engage in Petpet Plunge, find treasure galore.
Give a hand to the Petpets doing dirty work for Sir Pompadour!

I want to be a Maraquan, be one with the ocean.
Be a Maraquan, by paint brush or morphing potion.

To be a Maraquan, held in high esteem.
To be a Maraquan, my one and only dream.
