The Woe Of A Reseller
by Nikitafernandes

I search all night, I search all day,
For items sold at a meagre price,
But all I get is a bunch of Neopians
Who sometimes aren't playing nice.

They dislike me for my lesser offer
For their goods in the Trading Post,
But when they put me in their block list,
That is when it hurts the most.

Although I have my favourite Chias,
Selling me their wares at an incredible rate,
The Igloo Garage Sale can't give me
As many things as I want to take.

So, I search all night, I search all day,
And rarely get a lovely catch.
I feel lousy and I feel grey,
And all I wish for is an amazing snatch.

The Arcanium
by Meowclopspurrcat

Deep inside Moltara's caves,
A small shop lies in wait,
The molten rock beneath it paves
The way to something great!

For this shop is not your run-of-the-mill
Moltara spot, you’ll find;
The heated shelves will give you a thrill
With books of every kind!

Welcome to the Arcanium!
Please enjoy your stay;
If a tome piques your cranium,
You may buy some books today!

The shopkeeper is a bit shy,
But don’t let that give you a scare:
If a book catches your eye,
He’ll be sure to be there!

You can find him with his nose in a book,
His fiery mane lighting the pages;
He’ll occasionally give you a cordial look,
Then turn back to the tales of ages.

When you get to know him, though,
He’s really quite kind;
He’ll be happy to help with books: he’ll show,
Suggest, discuss, and find!

So, next time you travel through Moltara’s pit,
The Arcanium is the shop you’ll have to hit!

The Swashbuckling Academy Shanty
by Appajak

I've played on this site for many a year,
And all of me friends wonder
What I'm still doing here!
I signed with the Cap'n, he took my dubloons,
And I'll train by his side for many more moons.

And I must get better!
Paid academy tolls!
Yes, I've paid Ol' Threelegs
And now I'm enrolled!

Just pay your dubloons and you'll get on fine!
Pay heed to your cutlass
And tend to your lines!
Just a few hours later and a few hours more,
You'll be in tip top shape and in fit fighting form.

And I must get better!
Paid academy tolls!
Yes, I've paid Ol' Threelegs
And now I'm enrolled!

Oh, ya say I'm a pirate, a scurvy ol' dog!
An' ol' Davey Jones got me writ in his log.
No Gelert, nor Lupe, nor any canine,
I'm no pirate dog, but an Eyrie am I!

And I must get better!
Paid academy tolls!
Yes, I've paid Ol' Threelegs
And now I'm enrolled!

When I've sailed the seas
From Maraqua to ol' Altador,
From Shenkuu to Moltara and so many more,
I'll have looked to the Cap'n
Before I train with the rest,
And I'll miss that ol' pirate
Who taught me the best!

And I must get better!
Paid academy tolls!
Yes, I've paid Ol' Threelegs
And now I'm enrolled!

Rallying Cry For Moltara
by Pdonkeh

From the molten depths of earth,
Another team has made its berth
To Altador's most honored sport,
They step forward to prove their worth.

Moltara, where the lava flows,
Is ready to once more oppose
Impassioned foes of every sort,
To show how brightly Magma glows.

If some other group should claim
A well-deserved champion's fame,
Moltara we will not sell short;
In giving all there is no shame.

So, give us now your fiercest shout,
For Neopets who know no doubt!
And, with unwavering support,
Our team will burn the others out!

Keys And Chance
by Quillweave

Upon a path of coloured squares,
The keys are scattered 'cross the board,
Cross the tiles, blessed and cursed,
Mosaic of cherished rewards.

Roll the die, and where to next?
Where shall the tumbles of chance take
The worthy player, bold and skilled;
Can they hope to, their own fate, make?

Or is it rolling of the die,
A fickle and capricious thing,
That chooses whence the player goes,
Determining what games will bring?

Is it better, then, to choose,
To leave responsibility
Not to the player's fine designs,
But chance's unfaithful whimsy?

Is playing but a gamble and
A most certain uncertainty?
And if so, then, is there no skill,
In collecting that final key?

What a most disheartening thought!
But pause, kind player, and recall,
That though a kindness or a curse
Might be bestowed by the die's fall,

'Tis we, the questers, who define
How to use what we might gain;
Whether we gain the upper hand,
Or cause another quester pain,

The skill of hands, not roll of die,
Are what can face most any task,
Whether 'tis catching swimming fish
Or gardening the challenge asks,

So despair not, quester of keys!
Be more than fortune's hapless toy,
Though there is risk with ev'ry move,
Your mind and skill you can employ

And as you venture 'cross the board,
Remember what you have learned here;
That, though the die most fickle be,
With practice there's no need to fear!
