Royalty

The Royalgirl Koi,
In her seaweed lei,
Keeps the giant squids away
And calms the restless sea
So her subjects may swim free.

The Royalboy Lutari,
Leaves and feathers adorn his crown.
His fur, a glossy green and brown,
Eating exotic fruit all day long
While indulging in dance and song.

The Royalgirl Cybunny,
In her tiara of gold,
She fits the princess mould.
Refined and poised at all times;
Up the social ladder she climbs.

The Royalboy Grundo --
Ruling over sun, stars, and moons.
He commands mighty space platoons
With teleportation done in a pinch;
Crossing the galaxy is a cinch.

Princes, princesses, kings, and queens,
Ruling over citizens, fish, and machines.
In deserts, oceans, valleys, and space,
Attaining prosperity with dignity and grace.

Creepy Little Larnikins

Larnikins are creepy
with their million little legs,
their beady little eyes,
and their tiny little heads.

They look like pepperonis
that sprouted legs and starting walking,
or possibly potatoes
that could suddenly start talking.

But, when you look at me
with that grumpy little face,
I really must admit
that my heart does thump apace.

Ah, you creepy little Larnikin,
I suppose you aren't that bad.
You look like you'd be fun to hug,
even if you do look mad. 

Itty, bitty Larnikin,
You'll never be a beaut,
but if I am completely honest,
you're starting
to look
quite cute.

Morning At Molten Morsels

Step right into this grand shop,
Where fresh meals are served on the tabletop!
The shopkeeper will be there to greet you,
A kindly Bruce with a lighthearted crew.

It’s a family-run business, you see,
With the Bruce and his clan who toil so busily,
Working hard to bring you the hottest meals
In Moltara, for prices that are a steal!

They use products 
That are fresh from the ground
(Lava, fire, and roots abound)
And serve up dishes 
In the most delicious ways;
They boil, fry, and sauté! 

Try the Fried Ginger or the Fire Rice
(Or the Potato Shake -- it’s very nice).
From Seared Lava Fish to the rich Root Stew,
They’re sure to have something just for you!

These Bruces don’t slack,
They’re a hardworking force
That want to brighten your day 
With their food, of course!
I’ll get Hot Magma, 
You’ll try Singed Dinner Rolls;
When we leave Molten Morsels, 
We’ll both be very full!

Krawk Island Haiku

Krawk Island is far
It’s a major port for ships
Weather is sunny

Home to all the Krawks
Petpets transform into 'pets
Magical fungus

Smugglers live here
With no absolute ruler
And the great dubloons

Fungus caves are cold
And pirate caves are missing
Land of mystery

Seafood is eaten
And many taverns with grog
The Golden Dubloon

The Academy is
A wonderful place to train
Swashbuckling fancy

The folks here that live
Are an interesting bunch
Those swarthy pirates

Captain Threelegs with
Captain Dread, Captain Bloodhook,
Hannah and Garin

Captain Threelegs trains
Retired from pirating
Teaching pardons him

Captain Dread -- Kiko
Caused whirlpool that destroyed
Maraqua, the curse

Captain Bloodhook is
A notorious pirate
Hannah’s enemy

Hannah travels far
Adventurer who bears the
Mark of Ka-Tutep

Garin loves his ship
The Black Pawkeet sails around
Isca could not steal heart

On the coast line is
Island of Scurvy, bad place
The less welcome live

There’s Captain Scarblade
Self-proclaimed ruler of seas
Tried to destroy Mara

Parakeet and him
Failed to destroy the place
Now live in exile
