The Fallen Princess

She sits there, waiting, all alone,
As Neopians pass her by.
Once a regal princess upon a throne,
Now she only wants to cry.

As a royal Ixi she had dressed,
Once upon a time.
But her former owner had possessed,
Neither reason nor rhyme.

He had thought her beauty plain,
Poor even, and drab.
And even though others called him insane,
He took her to the lab.

A princess until the very end,
She hadn't even fussed.
In fact, her excitement was not even pretend,
She had only hoped
Her fur would not get mussed.

With one last optimistic grin,
She had stepped into the ray,
Not knowing that she'd never be the same again.
She learned the cruelty of fate that day.

Long abandoned, she sits there... mum.
A mutant resting on the ground.
Silently waiting for someone to come,
In the Neopian Pound.

Clothes that at first glance seem of finery
Are belied by patch stitched upon the knee.
Hard eyes see not pets, but opportunity;
Are they wise, or can they be tricked by me?

You move with stealthy step,
With weightless touch,
But stealing all you need does not yield much.
Your efforts gain you one prized loaf of bread--
And a host of guards who wish you dead.

There is no beauty in your life: just need;
And only dread for where the day might lead.
Will you escape with your next desperate crime,
Or will you be a step too slow this time?

For greatest skill does not remove the dread;
Even the best of thieves must meet an end.

Shapeshifting

With evil intentions and evil wiles,
With evil puzzles and evil smiles,
She throws out shapes and patterns galore
Until you shout, "Please, show me no more!"

It will drive you crazy and send you mad
But Sinsi assures you it's not all that bad.
"Come and play!" she cries out to her friends,
And see if you can't solve my puzzling trends.

An L shaped piece here and a blocky bit there,
Leaving you wondering if this game is fair.
But you perservere on, determined to win
Whilst Sinsi just watches,
Her face swamped with a grin.

And finally the last piece is slotted in place
And its your turn to grin,
Happiness etched in your face.
"Well done!" she exclaims
As she pats you with care.
"But that was round one...
Try two... if you dare!"

With the heaviest heart
And with a headache to hand,
You click for the next round.
Why? You can't understand.
The game is so tricky and Sinsi so smug.
You hope for a trophy but end up looking a mug.

So when playing Shapeshifter
Prepare for some stress
A puzzle so devious and not for the reckless.
The storm that is Sinsi has hit Meridell,
And her game isn't easy... so relax a spell!

Ixi Celebration?

Long ago and from far away,
The Ixi came to Neopia to play.
From the old town of Meridell,
These horned beasties came to dwell.

On the eleventh of July,
The Ixi began to multiply,
Showing themselves all over town,
Causing some to grow frantic, and frown.

They came in oodles to torment and tease,
They came to do whatever they please.
Sinsi the Shapeshift makes you cringe,
While Tarla stares with her mysterious grins.

I tell you, I think that you should stand clear,
Now that those Ixi are a permanent here.
I suppose that you will do what you wish,
But me? I'd rather give a Mortog a kiss.
