TUSKANINNY DAY SPECIAL

Game Over
By Hunokeli

The stakes are high,
and the fall is so deep.
Only a few letters away,
but the cliff is too steep.

Could it be Y, R, or K?
Maybe G, H, or P?
Too close to the edge;
should've gone Easy.

This puzzle is difficult,
but the level is hard.
One letter away,
but it feels like a yard.

Time to guess the answer!
Wish on a four-leaf clover;
the answer is wrong.
"You lose! Game over!"

A Starry Tuskaninny
By Foolses_coolses

One summer's night there were stars up above,
Shining down onto the sea,
Sharing their light in a pale, gleaming way,
Streaming down carelessly.

One summer's night
There were stars down below,
Shining up through the swells,
At first sight it appeared a mere reflection,
But they sped off with no farewells.

The stars sped onwards
Till they came to the shore
And revealed their slippery domain,
For the stars were not stars but pigments of skin,
A Tuskaninny's glistening stain.

The Tuskaninny basked in the light of the moon
On sand still warm from the day,
He dug for Crabulas with practiced fins
And was brushed by the gentle sea spray.

With his starry skin warm and his belly full,
He lay as a shimmering heap,
The Tuskaninny smiled and let out a yawn
And fell to a contented sleep.

What A Tuskaninny Is
By Pattypus2002

A fearsome fighter,
A loyal pet,
An awesome swimmer,
A Battledome threat.

If their training is good,
If it is right,
Then they will surely
Learn to fight.

As for swimming,
They are the best,
Tuskaninnies
Will beat the rest.

They love to bask
In the sun,
Don't blame them--
It's very fun.

They're lots of fun--
They're the number one pet,
They will achieve great goals
Which you won't regret.

So look after your Tuskaninny,
Be nice to him,
And don't forget
To let him swim.

One of a Kind
By Parmadur

My Tuskaninny questioned me,
As we were eating lunch,
"How come I'm not as popular
As all the other bunch?"

"The Shoyrus zoom around in droves,
The Kougras hunt in packs,
Kacheeks and Lupes are everywhere,
But numbers my kind lacks."

His hazel eyes, so deep and clear,
Were troubled as could be.
They seemed to say, "I'm not as good
As others I can see."

Then through my brain a single thought
Came rushing past the rest.
"Dear Kotick," said I to my pet,
"It's you I love the best.

"While many owners pick their pets
Because they're 'just so cute!',
I know it's what's inside that counts,
Brave heart and mind astute.

"You say there are not many
Of your species; that is true.
But maybe it's because I think
You're best that I picked you!"

My Tuskaninny looked at me,
A smile now on his face.
"You really mean that?" Kotick asked,
"Though I can't fly or race?"

I gave my pet a giant hug,
"That's not what counts," I said.
"You're my dear Tuskaninny boy,
Don't ever be misled."

"'One of a kind' is better far
Than 'Oh, you're just like them.'"
We smiled, and then I whispered soft,
"I think you are a gem."

The Cowardly Tuskaninny's Haikus
By Laurelinden

They call me Coward:
My petpet, toys, and shadow
I do truly fear.

But if your Petpet
Were a fiery Moltenore
Wouldn't you fear it?

Flames spurting from eyes
Twisting body glowing bright...
The dancing fire.

And toys ARE scary:
I've fallen from my blue bike
And it hurt my fin.

Reckless bouncing balls
Crashing, smashing, splintering,
Are not appealing.

And shadows at night,
Bunches of writing blackness...
Can you fault my fear?

Cowardly I am,
But maybe the rest of you
Should be so as well.
